just heard that Big Dunc aka TelfordShrew. (Duncan Walsh). has sadly passed away Original Member on this board with over 16000 posts, and we shared some great fun times back in the early days at games and events, he never had a bad word for anyone and never seen without a smile, spoke to him quite recently on the way out from a town game and I thought he was getting over his illness so this is a bit of a shock to me RIP Dunc Attachments:

Oh man that is sad - pretty sure I’d seen him at a game this season not so long ago and thought he was over the worst of it. Top bloke, cracking footballer in his day too. RIP

Such sad news and one so young.
Last spoke to Duncan a few years ago in the Dragon King one Friday lunch time, think we had both knocked off early. He was still taking about surfing.
He some great photos during our Conference season.
RIP and condolences to all his family.

I remember his photo website during the Conference season when we were visiting these mysterious new grounds (at the time) such as Accrington, Woking, Forest Green and Tamworth.
Knew he was quite ill a few years back but I thought he had made a full recovery and was back to living the life he had always seemed to, to the max! Awful news considering he was still so young and my condolences go out to his family and friends, RIP Big Dunc.

Awful news.
In recent photos I thought he'd started to look unwell again but it's still a huge shock.
Such a lovely man to have around and be around.

Very very sad news. As others have said he was part of the original B and A, not just on the message board but he was always part of the social side we had back then. The football games, the quiz's, the Christmas party's, the away days. I had some great time with him and the rest of the crew back then, and always kept in touch with him. That period around 2004-08 was great for this messageboard and he was a massive part of that online and in real life.
Like many had been in contact with him at the match and online over the last few years and despite everything he was going through he was still the absolute gent that he always was.
"Big Dunc" "TefordShrew" or Duncan Walsh i'm sure he will be fondly remembered by lots of town fans as well as family and friends and I pass on my condolences to everyone who knew him.
RIP

My condolences to his family. I met him because he knew the friends who sit behind us both now and at the old meadow. A really friendly, lovely person who always posted sense and thoughtful posts on here.
Many of you will know him better than I. I feel his loss as part of the ‘family’ on here - you will do so even more.

Sad news.
I’ve not met many from this board in person but Duncan was one of them. Always came across as a genuinely nice guy.
RIP Dunc.

Sad news. A really nice bloke and committed Town fan. Good memories of Duncan’s contributions on here over the years, particularly his spats with the Telford fans during the conference sabbatical. Said hello to him at a game recently. RIP.

Very sad to hear that. He was a lovely guy and his pics of the Conference season and all that went on around it were great to enjoy at the time. I hope they are preserved somewhere.
The vision that came to mind when I read Glyn’s tweet of his passing, was of a young Geoff sat on a fence next to a beaming Duncan at one of the B&A football games about 15 years ago. It was a smile that many will clearly miss.
He was also a great help to the fanzine when we got it off the ground. RIP indeed.

On behalf of our family, I would like thank everyone for their kind, caring and sincere expressions. It has been an extremely tough time to see my brother endure and then finally succumb to this disease. Duncan fought every step of the way and never backed down from any treatment, always keeping a positive attitude and a love of life.
If you would like to show your support Duncan's funeral will be held at Telford Crematorium Friday 20th December , 10-30am
A heartfelt thankyou to you all.
