I hope the hoax was from a credible source otherwise this could set a dangerous precedent.

Abandoned with 2 minutes left due to a bomb threat. Must have scared the crap out of the 70,000 spectators. Over the past few weeks ETA has called the press to announce their bombs prior to detonating them. In each case abomb did in fact explode, so there would have been every reason to believe that this bomb threat was legit as well. Thank God nothing happened. May not have been a hoax, perhaps a failed ETA attempt Very worrying

Think the away team will be least impressed. Under Spanish League rules they are likely to have to travel back to Madrid to play the final 2 minutes of the game

That's a bit of a bugger for them but I suppose safety is paramount. The warning did come from ETA and considering what they had been doing in Madrid over the last week then it was certainly was a credible threat.
