Nuno should have stopped at Wolves. . As I understand it, that wasn’t an option for him.

Theres no wonder Nuno was looking so down as he stood on the touchline towards the end of the game. He knew this pay off was coming. Dont know the ins and outs of the benefit system but hopefully he can sign on and get some help before his next pay off. Being a crap premiership manager is a fantastic career. Are there any courses you can go on.

Hartlepool lose their Manager as Dave Challinor takes on the Stockport job. Stockport taking 5000 away at the weekend to Bolton in Cup. Challinor is the guy that Wrexham should have appointed in my view

Just catching up with EFL on quest. Didn't realize brief town old boy Steve Morison is caretaker at Cardiff. Didn't do a bad job on Saturday!

Didn’t Eddie Howe leave Burnley because he was homesick? Newcastle is a long way from the south coast.

Sc***horpe United have appointed Keith Hill as their new manager.
The former Rochdale, Barnsley and Bolton Wanderers boss replaces Neil Cox after he was sacked on Monday.
Hill has been out of football since being sacked by Tranmere Rovers at the end of last season despite leading them into the League Two play-offs.
The Glanford Park side, who are bottom of the English Football League, face Doncaster Rovers at home in the FA Cup first round on Saturday.
The 52-year-old had two long spells in charge of the Dale, winning promotion to League One in each of them.
He has fared less well in his two more recent jobs, winning just six of 35 games in charge of Bolton in 2019-20 and being sacked at Tranmere between the end of the regular season and the play-offs starting last May.
The Iron have won just two of their 15 league matches so far this campaign.
They host Doncaster in the FA Cup on Saturday before the same opposition visit again in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday and Hill's first league game in charge will also be at home, with Salford City the opposition, on Saturday, 13 November.

Maybe Blythe or Newbiggin by the Sea

Howe can say to his missus, just wait until the end of the season when I’ll get the sack and a massive payoff, and I can join ‘Arry Radknapp in Sandbanks.

Yes anyone joining Newcastle (& a few other teams) must surely have 1 eye on a decent pay off. You either do well and enhance your managerial reputation or get a good pay off if you dont. Win, win.

This may be a false memory but I have the impression that Dean Smith always played well against us, so his name was one that stuck with me.
He is one of very few English managers who was a lower league player and made it in management starting from the bottom, well Walsall which is close enough.
For that reason I hoped he would be a success, now he will probably be replaced by another non British manager.

Newcastle United are delighted to confirm the appointment of Eddie Howe as the club’s new head coach on a contract until summer 2024.
The 43-year-old arrives on Tyneside having left AFC Bournemouth last summer, ending a long affiliation with the Cherries as a successful player and manager.
As well as amassing more than 300 senior appearances for the south coast side as a player, he also has the distinction of managing AFC Bournemouth through all four tiers of English football, culminating in five years in the Premier League between 2015 and 2020.
Eddie said: "It is a great honour to become head coach of a club with the stature and history of Newcastle United. It is a very proud day for me and my family.

Aston Villa have appointed Steven Gerrard as manager on a three-and-a-half year deal, ending his three-year reign at Rangers.
The former Liverpool captain, 41, leaves the Scottish champions having guided them to a first league title in 10 years last season.
Gerrard replaces Dean Smith, who was sacked on Sunday after a run of five successive defeats. Villa are 16th in the Premier League, two points above the relegation zone. "Aston Villa is a club with a rich history and tradition in English football and I am immensely proud to become its new head coach," said Gerrard. "In my conversations with [co-owners] Nassef [Sawiris], Wes [Edens] and the rest of the board, it was apparent how ambitious their plans are for the club and I am looking forward to helping them achieve their aims." Gerrard his first steps in senior management with Scottish Premiership side Rangers in 2018, and leaves with them four points clear of rivals Celtic at the top of the table. BBC Sport Scotland understands Villa have paid Rangers £4.5m in compensation. "Steven and his backroom staff have ensured that the club is undoubtedly in a better place today than it was three-and-a-half years ago," said Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson. "We have shared a desire to move Rangers forward, to modernise our infrastructure and to make the club win again. "There have been so many areas that we have moved forward, and there is still so much to be done, but I can't stress enough how important it has been to have with us a first-team manager who shared a drive and desire to set standards and move the whole football operation forward."
