Think Mr Starmer may be applying.... Doubtful, he is waiting for a Premier job. Once the Tory old gaurd oust that chump Boris he'll probably be looking for a job to keep Carrie in wallpaper.

Doubtful, he is waiting for a Premier job. Once the Tory old gaurd oust that chump Boris he'll probably be looking for a job to keep Carrie in wallpaper. A blind eye has been turned to the fact that Labour have won ten of the twelve Mayoral elections and have made big gains in Tory middle England. The Tory vote in Shropshire has reduced significantly, with some rather pleasing consequences. Wales has turned red again, so Hartlepool is not the end of the world. The level of ignorance of some up there was summed up on a radio phone in to LBC - Fred from Hartlepool said “I voted Conservative because we now have nine Foodbanks. We only had two under Labour”.

Fantastic timing, a week before the start of the play-offs and after already leading them to one Wembley Final this season. I hope Morecambe stuff ‘em.

You would have thought “success achieved on the pitch in the form of securing a place in the Play-Offs and reaching the Papa John’s Trophy final" would have been enough for the likes of Tranmere, no disrespect intended.

Fantastic timing, a week before the start of the play-offs and after already leading them to one Wembley Final this season. I hope Morecambe stuff ‘em. It seems the owners have done what the fans wanted. Paraphrasing what he said after last Saturday, the team haven’t played well foe weeks, he doesn’t know why, but it’s not his fault !

Standard manager speak. Others accept all the blame, when everyone knows that it’s not their fault.

The sacking of Keith Hill...success on the pitch, so must have been issues off the pitch. Complete madness otherwise.

The Tranmere decision is a classic case of looks awful from a distance but we don't know whats been going on. From the bits I've read, Hill has not been popular with the fans and the view is they have got into the playoffs despite him, rather than because of him. They haven't been playing that well recently and the interview at the weekend was the final straw.
Some may say the Tranmere board have made a ridiculous decision, others may say they have made a very brave call which will give them a better chance of getting promoted. The majority of comments from Tranmere fans I've seen seem to be backing the latter

Keith Hills an experienced manager so a bit of a surprise

And me. We might well have had a manager who was committed to Shrewsbury that day rather than one whose mind was so obviously elsewhere.

At least karma means that Warne's Rotherham are relegated as a result of an 88th minute equaliser by Cardiff, and Hurst's Grimsby go out of the League.

The problem with that is that he kept denying any knowledge of it, even up until the day before he cleared his desk.

If he plays it straight and gets Grimsby back in the league then fair enough. A job for Sam would be nice too, goodness knows what Mr Askey is doing these days, but MM seems to be doing ok.

To be fair I would like to see Hurst do well with Grimsby next season, maybe even be challenging for the top spot (automatic promotion). Then to lose the last game to a dodgy goal, but get to the play off final and lose that in extra time to another dodgy goal or debatable penalty. Let's see if he was still having a jolly with the opposition manager then. Bitter? Who moi? 🙂

Rumours on the Tranmere board that all is not well between MM and Dundee Utd. One rumour is that he could be headed back to Prenton Park. The one small problem is that the majority of fans don’t want him back, some because of the way he left but others because the Shrews fans were right - L1 is a step too far for him.

Just had another look at the Dundee United board and it seems that Mellon is not popular, with speculation that he could be gone by the end of the season.
