No surprise. The past few results did it for him.

Karanka leaves Birmingham. They are in a whole heap of relegation trouble.

It's that stage of the season when panic sets in throughout many boardrooms.

I think John Nolan had a big hand in this and it’s been festering ever since, I can still hear that sound of his shot hitting the bar and dropping in, glorious.

I remember Bowyers less than gracious comments after the playoff games when he insisted Charlton were a better side than us despite the fact they lost both legs. After his comments on Saturday I thought he was learning to be slightly more humble. Anyway good luck to him if he goes to Birmingham - that club has been a manager's graveyard for years.

This is never going to happen but it would be really interesting to read some people’s CV’s when they apply for a managerial position given most have been sacked several times previously and still manage to secure good jobs after. Maybe they have a CV guru writing them up turning the negative into a positive.

Two managers that I would decisive, but obviously pretty good as we can hardly my get results against are Bowyer and Barton.... in fact I would also put Karl Robinson in that band also....

Charlton should have tried to tempt Alan Curbishly out of retirement like we tempted Steve Cotterill but they arent a big enough club to attract that kind of quality.

I'm surprised Cowley has only taken it until the end of the season. I know he wasn't at Huddersfield for very long but I'd have thought his stock was high enough to get a proper contract at a decent club. I wonder what the permutations for an extension are.
