hi everyone, ive just moved to a new place in chester (work should be intresting on monday!!) and need to get a phone line set up soley for using wanadoo broadband (i have a mob already with lots of free mins etc). could anybody offer any advice as to the cheapest way of doing this? thanks

From past experience, the only way to connect is through BT. Ring them up and they'll sort it for you but it usually takes around a week for the phone line to be activated.

I would have thought you had to get a set up through BT and then get charged £34 per quarter

PLEASE PLEASE they are terrible, have shocking back up service and if someone hacks into your IP number and sends spam, you will be without a connection for 14 days. Thursday afternoon I called BT to report a fault on our line, BT found the fault and a engineer was at our place at 8.05 the next morning and fixed it without charging.
Shocking back up service? I think not
