whoosh, that one went right over your head then Correct. I must have missed the or to show it was humour and then confused you with the same person responsible for about 20% of all the posts in the Greg Docherty thread. My mistake. perhaps it was something to do with Docherty and why grant left, and maybe I advantage of a perfectly timed thread bumped back up to quip about it

No way will he leave on a permanent deal. Swindon know damned well we don't want him. If they are operating on the basis that we are paying some of his wages (I believe we are coughing up about £200 a week to Grimsby for Waterfall) then they'll happily continue with the arrangement. We are paying about £200 a week to Grimsby for Waterfall? How long is that for? Presumably until the end of the contract he had with us. Though it's only a rumour, albeit from an accredited source.

Presumably until the end of the contract he had with us. Though it's only a rumour, albeit from an accredited source. Good bit of business that for Grimsby, if true. his contract with us was till august 2021 www.shropshirestar.com/sport/football/shrewsbury-town-fc/2019/08/15/luke-waterfall-leaves-shrewsbury-town-by-mutual-consent/" defender Luke Waterfall has left Shrewsbury Town by mutual consent despite having two years remaining on his contract. The club announced that both parties came to an agreement on the remainder of his deal, which he signed last summer. Waterfall, 29, was surplus to requirements at Town as fifth choice centre-back under Sam Ricketts and had been told not to expect regular football. He is expected to join a League Two side closer to his Yorkshire home imminently, with Grimsby among interested parties."

stange one this so either town are keeping there cards close to there chest or the swindon paper has got it wrong, only time will tell. Quite straight forwards really. Swindon manager asked by Swindon press about Grant, comments made but no approach yet its was only October.... Shrewsbury manager asked by Shrewsbury press but understandably said he hadn’t heard anything cos he hasn’t ..... Just reporters looking for a storey

Three months to the end of the transfer window, so why would they rush?

That’s because he left under a cloud, it would seem we weren’t talking to him when he was here following whatever he’d done that we haven’t been told about....... Just another reporter asking a question and trying to make a storey out of it
