Really pleased with the way performances have turned round in the short period Gary P has had to work with the lads. I'm sure the results will start to follow also - Gary said in the interview on Thurs that the one thing that has surprised him has been how quick the players have been to adapt to his game plan - but that it will still take a little while.
We have 4 massive winnable games coming up. If we're able to take 6-7 points from them, we will be in a much brighter position in the New Year.
It's going to be a tough old season but I still believe there to be the possibility of reaching 50 points a heck of a lot quicker than we thought possible.
Also, thank God we got rid of Quinn........

Have to say I still have faith. You can see the improved organisation, effort, and more working as a team. Yes we still have probs to sort out, like the mossy type tackle from yesterday. At the end of the day you can play 11 oppostion players but you cant play cr@p referee decisions. We were robbed of a deseved win and three points. Dont forget we have recently played the two top teams from this division and given very good performances against both. And that without what would be first choice players being available. Am reserving my judgement till and Jan, when hopefully we will be looking down on a few more teams than we are now.

Personally I dont know what all the concern is about.
Cambridge are already down, believe me, you thought we had problems under Quinn, nothing compared to the U's plight.
As far as we are concerned major improvements already under GP.Sure theres alot more to do,but I've every confidence the progress will continue.
Yes we might not have seen it in points yet I know, but players as individuals are performing better,Lowe,Tolley,Tinson, three glaring examples IMO for a start, and the organisation is coming on the field with tactics, gameplans, substitutions etc.
The points will follow.
By the end of March we'll all be wondering what all the fuss was about.
Onwards and Upwards.
Got to sort the discipline out though, but he will..........

I think there's been a major change in attitude at the club since the arrival of GP, not worried so much as concerned but i believe that we have made the change early enough in the season for it to work.
Unlike our last two managers i don't think that Peters has an ego the size of Pluto therefore he will concern himself with results and not self publicity.
Very disappointed leaving the Ride on Mower stadium yesterday but encouraged just the same.

I seriously believe that we are good enough to stay up. Second half yesterday Chester couldn't get near us and only had a couple of shots on goal, obviously the dodgy pen but that wasn't down to us. I think things are looking up, and the loan players GP has brought in are starting to shine. i.e. Mr Langmead! come you shrews.

If we have more performances like yesterday rather than those againgst Rochdale i think we will be OK.
Everyone thinks its two from us, Cambridge and Kiddy to go down but there always seems to be one team from lower mid table that gets on bad form and cant get out of it. Happened to Barnet, us and York.

I think we can get out of this, but one thing that would really help is a real goalscorer, be it Lowe,Langmead or Rodgers getting form back or even a new signing. Who's scored the most for us this season? whoever it is has 3 at tops I think.....pathetic!

I am sure that GP will turn our season around. All the players seem to want to give 100%. I also think he will bring a few more players in on loan to help the situation.

Yep, i feel quite confident that things will turn around. There has been an attitude change and that is great to see, a bit of fight and pride coming back into the team. What is worrying me is, that with a full squad to choose from over the next couple of months, we may well do it, even finish close to the play offs ( no im not p**sed ), but all the injuries and up coming suspensions are going to make a real mess of things. On the subject of injuries, has anyone heard how Ben Smith is getting on? Cant remember the last time i heard anything about the tree hugger

I think we have enough quality to stay up but we must not take anything for granted, that includes you Shrewforever, if we have to fight and scrap for our Football league status until the very last day, then so be it, as long as we stay up this time.
No one should take anything for granted though and think its all over when it isnt, this attitude got us relegated last time around.

We'll stay up no worries, we were easily better than Chester.

I feel a lot more confident now about Salop staying up than I did a few weeks back.
GP has installed a good approach to the team and hopefully this will continue.
However we need to start getting points on the board especially over the xmas period.

Sadly you obviously have difficulty understanding what I say in that post.
I'm afraid I cant do anything about that, but it is absolutely nothing like what you relate it to nor was it ever intended to be.
It is simply my way of expressing my confidence in GP in the short time since he has taken over.
Read it a few more times and you might see that,or there again perhaps you wont.
ps Next time you wag you're finger at me do it after you've logged in with an identity, and not behind the anonymity of a "guest" post.
Thanks........
