In my opinion yes, ran his socks off, needled Ellison into a sending off and was always looking for the ball over the top to run onto - shame he never got it.
Mossy imo deserved to go. Stupid challenge on the half way line which he def went in 2 footed...
But if the ref had booked Ellison a couple of mins before when they won the free kick and Mossy was complainin to him about the studs on his thigh then none of that would ahve happened.
Ellison should have known better. Got booked for mouthin then left his foot in on Tolley, who then went after him to get his yellow, so can have no complaints. They had extra man for 5 mins.
2nd half minus Rodgers we were much better, though I hope thats down to him not being match fit. Langmead chased everything, Lowe bossed the right until he was knackered and Burns pld well even if he should have scored - free header from 6 yds out.
Never a pen, Howie has history concerning penalties but how the ref can ask such a terrible pen to be retaken is beyond me. Straight down the middle with no power. Very disappointed all the same.
2 points lost as opposed to 1 gained.

The pressure's on now to beat an out-of-form Mansfield side next week to eclipse any memory of today's/yesterday's debacle. Its 1.41am on Sunday morning and I'm still fuming about 'that' penalty decision

Shrewsworld had young Langmead as MOM. Reckoned he worked really hard all game, held the ball up well and got the goal to cap it off.
If you were there you may not have heard that.
Do you think Tolley's performance was better then?

Some good performances- Tolley, Lowe, Tinson (am I alone in thinking he was better than of late?), Langmead, Howie all possible MOM- but no one really stood out. Tolley seems to be playing better under GP- fitter, strronger, winning a few headers and getting forward more

There were a lot of excellent individual performances yesterday.
Tolley, Lowe, O'Connor and Langmead all stick out for me.
I hope O'Connor can last the season as he really is a class above the rest

Apart from the ref i thought it was on the whole two well matched sides scraping for there survival. On a positive ithought shrews in the second half were excellent, thought the balance and shape were better and looked a bigger threat without luke. Langmead and midfield linked well and we looked more potent. ok we only had 10, but it is a long time since i have seen town look so threatning up front. May be time to say thanks to luke and goodebye. Well done to the three loan signing, excellent well done to mr lowe for remaining in contact with his legs. Well done to mr peters for not smacking the ref, and finally to chester city no wonder you have monety problems buying refs week in week out cannoy be cheap.

I hope O'Connor can last the season as he really is a class above the rest OConnor let himself down badly with the sending off- no matter how bad the decision you wont ever get anywhere by bad mouthing the ref- he should no better and if GP is serious about improving the discipline he should throw the book at OConnor, coach or no coach

second booking wasn't it. As I think he got booked when for telling the ref to stop the game when challis was down. Thought O'Connor was brilliant, kept things cool, battled on while injured and kept us ticking, he laso played some very clever balls. Tolley, well he was brilliant, especially considering his crapness of late (or last few months) ran and ran, supporteed attacks, got stuck in and was always back in defence to pick up the lose ball. Lowe was brilliant when he was moved back to right midfield, instigated most of our pressure at the begining of the second half. Wasnt too impressed with Tino, he was lucky on quite a few incidents in the first half. Langmead, looks like the sort of workhorse, we'd been hoping Darby was. Covers a lot of ground, makes chances for other, he's big, holds the ball up quite well, covers a lot of ground and has nimble feet. get him playing with Rodgers and we're sorted.

Tolley MoM !!!. What game were you watching?. Absolutely hopeless. If he's lucky he (and Edwards) just might get a game for TNS next season.

Tolley had a very good game and seems to have already benefitted from a change in manager. I thought Lowe was fantastic on Saturday, but there were a lot of good individual performances.
