Anyone remotely shocked? Odd move at the time and never played a game for them. Next step will I presume be as a continual back up or move into non league football. Seems so hard to build a career as a keeper

I think he has played quite a few games at Chesterfield this season, perhaps they may want him. I notice Mason Springthorpe (remember him??) was playing at Oswestry Town at back end of season. He cost Everton in excess of 100k a few yrs back and now is playing for a pittance,if at all.

I’d rather have Callum Burton back here than Reice Charles-Cook in all fairness, must be a keeper in there somewhere for Hull to sign him (although I did find it strange at the time as he was still only our third choice keeper then) and to be capped by England at junior levels, just hope his career doesn’t end up on the slippery slope like Mason Springthorpe.

If Leutwiler hadn't suffered that bad injury in the FA Cup at Grimsby you do wonder how far he may have gone in the game. Theres no doubt it did affect his confidence badly which is not surprising. He really was a top keeper until then. He was still a good shot stopper after that but was reluctant to come off his line. Hope he is now getting back to his best after getting the keepers jersey at Blackburn.
