Any Idea when we are releasing our retained list? There have been a few names of the in's and out's from the club but I thought we may of had the full list by now. Be very interesting to see who we keep / offer deals to this year.

It's usually within a week of the end of the season so probably in the next couple of days or so.
It's already leaked out via twitter that a couple of the youngsters, Christos Shelis and George Hughes, are leaving in addition to the official announcement about Mat Sadler.

Golbourne has been impressive since he got fit - I’d say that he is worth another year at least.

I'll be disappointed if we offer anything to Golbourne. Defensively he's weak and he offers very little going forward.

Not out of contract but I'm sure Haynes and Gillied will be off this summer.

Looks like Grimsby might be daft enough to take Angol off our hands. Fingers crossed.

Shame about Shellis. He never looked out of place in his all too brief appearances under Hurst.

I think the retained list should include fans
imagine the fun when they announce certain blocks have been released from their season ticket seats and must re-apply again ;-)

According to something I read this morning out of contract players have to be told if they're being offered anything by May 18th.

A lot of dead wood there. You would have thought some would be open to offers.

Charles Cook and LJL being offered new deals is NOT a good start.
Charles Cook didn't even get a game this season, and we are all only too well aware of the limitations of LJL.
Looks like we are already in the bargain basement area.

What the actual ****! The Shop and Charles Cook getting offered a deal (or at least being discussed) is mental!
The shop was poor before what was a career threatening injury. Do we think a broken knee is going to make him MORE mobile! Huge risk and waste of wages. hes also not going to get in ahead of Holloway for the role he plays... Nuts
As for Cook... his story with us is weird. Crap ion pre season, dispensed with. Brought back again not to play and now offered a deal. Signed up as back up for next season, but honestly means that either we are going to be playing arnold all season again OR we are going to have three keepers....
Cant get my head around either of them!

Im stunned by RCC. Less so by LJL although surprised. Can see the club offering a chance to make up for the injury hit season he's had... tho we all know that's as 4th choice. That said, I keep banging on about character and drive etc etc, and if hes good in the dressing room (whilst we can't be only made up of that), thats good enough for me... let's not underestimate the impact support from within can be to our squad.

Anyone here happy that we are offering new contracts to Charles Cook and LJL?
It certainly adds plenty of fuel to the Ricketts critics.

I would still expect some of those under contract to be transfer listed or paid off.
I sort of see the the reasons why we have offered the shop a deal, as still recivering from serious injury!
Charles-cook, however, is totally bizarre!!

Charles-cook, however, is totally bizarre!! I can kind of get LJL, providing he's on low wages, will be 4th choice, knows he will be and that we can move on AAH and Angol.
That said why not just promote Lifumpa Mwandwe to 4th choice. If not, may as well season long loan him to the conference.
