An amazing strike, an iconic goal that will be remembered for a long time if City go on to win the league on Sunday.

Funny, all I’ve heard the last couple of seasons is Liverpool this, Klopp that, but they still have nothing to show for it.

I think it's rather sad that people can't just appreciate a fantastic title battle between two exceptional teams that are likely to finish on 98 and 97 points respectively.

Well well well? What a cracking goal? Unless you have been at the games. BT/Sky subscribers have provided some cracking goals the last seven days.
Messi Suarez The lad for Eastleigh Kompany
Far as I'm concerned. A neutral regarding The Premiership. It will be an absolute godsend if Liverpool don't win it. As someone correctly pointed out.. 'We'll never hear the end of it'. It will be intolerable. All the YNGTA's down the pub. (You Never Go To Anfield). In work. Restaurants wearing their replica tops. The odd time you have use public transport. Around the pool on holiday etc......they're bad enough under normal circumstances. It's the one thing they don't like you bringing up. Never won The Premiership. So nice when a couple of them have adopted you on holiday for the whole 3 weeks, bored you out of your mind about LFC...and on the last night bidding them a fond farewell back to Gatwick as they load their suitcases on to the coach...."Hope you win it! You've never won The Premiership have you?"

Amazing that both teams have just more or less HAD to win their next game just to stay in contention all season pretty much. I did expect that one of them would feel the pressure on the run in but it doesnt seem that it is going to happen - or is it? I dont really follow the Premiership but its been far more interesting this season than for a long time.

It is going how the Scottish Premier was before Rangers imploded - the same two teams dominating and leaving the rest as also rans.

13 league victories in a row for City - amazing run. The fact liverpool are going toe-to-toe with them is fantastic for the neutral (but also great that Liverpool will have not quite made it).
Pity the next four teams couldn’t keep up their end of the bargin otherwise it would have been fun watching the chase for the CL places too.

Crazy thing is Sky were saying United have spent £744m since Fergie left, yet United continually bemoan City for "spending".
You have the credit Tottenham, I think their net spend from 2014-2018 was something like £20m!

I’ve lived near and worked in Manchester for over 40 years and can assure you that City and United fans are always modest and reserved when discussing the achievements of their clubs.😂

No doubting these are two exceptional teams and it’s been a compelling title race. Not an exciting one, I’d argue, because you need the drama of changes in fortune for that - it’s quite monotonous to have such long winning sequences, however well the teams play.
I don’t subscribe to the idea that these must be two of the best ever teams because of their high points totals. Points reflect that season, nothing more, and there are some poor and underperforming teams in the PL this season. To win the title with 80 points when there’s a better average standard of teams would be a greater achievement.
But that’s taking nothing away from City and Liverpool, both excellent teams and a long way ahead of the rest. I hope that gap is closed next season though, especially on City, or else it’ll be as drearily predictable as all the other big European leagues. We need more Leicester seasons.

I think everyone will agree Fulham completely shafted themselves! Tottenham have to be respected the most they practically have a zero net spend the last 5 seasons which is incredible considering where they keep finishing. Guessing Liverpool's net is made to look better by the £220m they got for Suarez & Countinho, not to say others haven't sold players but those sales were huge.

(Including this) Never asked Shrewsbury to break the bank, just prefer us to sign say 6 higher quality players for fees and have a some of the young pros making up the bench than wasting on squad players. Quality over quantity is really important this summer I feel.

Quality over quantity is really important this summer I feel. ask yourself how much spurs would have spent if they were to sign say 6 higher quality players I get the point your making and it's well made, but Spurs don't need to push on or take a risk at this stage. New ground, finishing top four every year and this season progressing further in the Champions League is a sign or progression and continued stability for them, they're seen as top 4 now and seen as better than their rivals Arsenal. All that with a £0 transfer net spend whilst others have been spendings 100s of millions is credit to their manager for his player development and Levy for his clever business in the market. In all fairness I'm on the negative end of the scale with town but realistically if we can shift the dead wood, sign a couple of quality additions and utilise the loan market as well as we've done recently then top half should be achievable, and I'd be happy with that. Might even change my avatar
