It’s very Mellon-esque and really easy to remember the glory days of Clarke & Morison, I just hope Ricketts has assessed recent performances rather than going off their names. I’m sure he hasn’t, but that’s how Mellon’s signings made me feel. No sell on value for Roland either & still a handful that Ricketts won’t play that we need to get off the books. I expect things to ramp up a notch or two in the coming week or so. Anyway, here’s to Morison being the horrible ugly vile spearhead of his Millwall promotion days. Would you class ebanks landell or udoh as 'Mellon-esque' signings? Obviously not, as I was talking about Morison. I think it about Golbourne who didn’t really do enough for me, Clarke as the other rumour about the place and to a lesser extent, Edwards.

This is dismal. Lee Gregory would be a much better signing. Have you no ambition? Rashford hasn’t signed a new deal at United yet.

Well, we all probably moaned when Leo fortune West signed for us a few years back.well he banged the goals in for us, and looked pretty tidy. Was he 33/34,i don't know. I will judge Morrison when he's played a few games for us.you never know in football

useful signing for the cod army - according to another post on twitter he turned down offers from Pompey, Charlton and Donny!! Which indicates how much Mr Piley is prepared to splurge on wages at Fleetwood. He wouldn't surely have turned those other 3 down otherwise, especially Doncaster which would be fine geographically if he felt he 'needed to be nearer to his family'. He's clearly gone there for the money.

Wonder if the signing of Steve Morison will nudge this into happening?

www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/shrewsbury-lee-angol-grimsby-town-2839601"Angol remains under contract at the New Meadow, meaning any possible switch would either have to be a loan agreement, or command a fee. You would expect his next destination to be in League Two. But even if Town are, once again, in the hunt for the 6ft 1in striker, aged 24, there is likely to be competition for his signature. The departures of JJ Hooper and Wes Thomas mean that Michael Jolley has five strikers at his disposal heading into the summer; Jordan Cook, Harry Cardwell, Charles Vernam, Ahkeem Rose and Rumarn Burrell. Two of those are fresh out of the Academy, though, and the Town boss has already declared his ambition to get more goals into the team. Expect to hear Angol’s name being linked with several League Two clubs." i hope we can shift him to somone

Jamie Devitt has signed for Blackpool, he should get a warm Shropshire welcome this season.

Brad Collins young goalkeeper from Chelsea-on Loan at burton last season and impressed against us...perhaps worth a look in? Thoughts? Think most young keepers from premier leagues clubs with league one experience may be looking beyond us, and that appears true. Signed 4 year deal with Barnsley. Adam Davies apparently off to Stoke. Best bet for a no1 keeper i reckon is a youngster on loan who has hopefully impressed at a lower level a la Henderson

Must be nearing the time when Ryan Giles is confirmed on loan I'm hoping some signings are being delayed by players not back at pre-season and contracts running to an end. As players drift back in to football mode i'm hoping for a few more players being announced

Has Andy Cook from Walsall signed for anyone swear he was out of contract in summer. Would be a good signing for us imo Signed for Mansfield for a rumoured £150,000. He had a year left on his Walsall contract.

He has 13 full caps for Poland and played several seasons in the Bundesliga for Cologne. I hope to be pleasantly surprised but this sounds rather unlikely.

He signed a 2 year deal at Bolton last summer but he has been released pressumably due to their financial situation. maybe he'd just prefer getting paid on time!!!

He signed a 2 year deal at Bolton last summer but he has been released pressumably due to their financial situation. maybe he'd just prefer getting paid on time!!! You would think the wage demands of a player who has played most of his football in the German Bundesliga and the English Championship would be well beyond us, but you never know. I would also think he would get interest from higher division clubs in England and abroad. www.boltonwanderers.news/news/pawel-olkowski-bids-farewell-to-bolton-wanderers/" Olkowski would no doubt have torn opposition defences to shreds if he’d stayed on to play in League One next season."

This ones been going got a couple of weeks and some now This is the kind of transfer I'd expect our scouting to be looking at - I guess if rumours are true we are looking to get this guy or Sid Nelson from Millwall to offer more options at CB; both of whom look to be big units with potential that I guess our scouts have confirmed. Hopefully this suggest changes at the heart of defence given that we already have EEL on the books. I'd be disappointed if we are earmarking RSW to play right back to keep Waterfall in the middle of a back three.
