Probably first time since Holt we have a battering tough type of striker. Ideal for lower leagues and to do all hard work of winning ball in air and laying off for Fey and Udoh.

This is dismal. Lee Gregory would be a much better signing. Quite. I'm sure we can turn his head away from his impending move to Stoke City.

Not sure what people want/expect. With two unproven youngsters up front, having an older head up there is just what we need

The comments from Millwall fans from last season would suggest that is in question with many of his appearances coming from the bench fairly late in games and described as ineffective.

32 goals in 170 games. 35 years old. God that’s bad even for us.

Nicky Ajose is still a free agent after leaving Charlon.
Why are we not after a younger striker who is more than capable at league 1instead?
Nobody has snapped him up yet either so surely we’d have a reasonable chance - making an offer wouldn’t hurt and he’d certainly take one of the two starting spots up front

Another option is Chuks Aneke who is out of contract at MK Dons, 17 in 38 last season.

I'd be relatively happy with this signing. His stats alone suggest Championship is one step too high for him but that he is very effective at L1. Also, the number of appearances he's made in his 30s (ie hardly seems to have missed a game till last season being on the bench a lot) suggests his fitness is good, in terms of avoiding injuries. On the whole the potential to be a very useful signing. Whenever I've seen him he has bullied our defenders and I would think he (unlike AAH) would offer much more than goalscoring (which he does to a decent level in this league), potentially leading the line well for Fey, Whalley, and midfield runners to feed off.
The proof shall be in the eating of the pudding but I think it is a signing with potential to improve the team for a season or two (or more if he is fit and playing well). I'm hoping for more exciting signings further down the line, and some quality loans, but Morrison looks a decent piece of the jigsaw.

Three seasons ago. Hopefully he can come in and make an impact, he is a proper handful and knows how to lead a line properly unlike AAH or Angol, i'll give him that.
I feel like he'd chip in with 5-10 goals, create a few for the other striker and be good to learn off. On reflection it's not a terrible signing if he's fit.

A proper “league one ready” player here......
Only one way you are going to play if Morison is on the field, very direct.
Not excited by this at all.

I thought of Ajose for last season but did nothing for Mansfield when went on loan there. Aneke would be good, but quite happy with Morrison if can pass on his experience to Fej and Udoh.

last season we had a number of games with a lone forward, ferjeri needs the ball on hte ground, i dont know how the former telford player plays so only time will tell how ricketts intends to use him. i just hope it is not route one to a holding forward

Apparently (Millwall fans on Twitter) his work ethic is right up there and he doesn’t take prisoners either which is a good start. 250 goals in 600 games? I’ll take that on a 1 year contract with potential to extend it. I can imagine him being street wise too.

Interesting that a 35 year old who scored 1 last season is past it but most people considered a 34 year old who scored 6 last season as a good signing with some even suggesting a 'wow' signing
