So then with results today seeming to go our way and without a monumental goal swing on the last game of the season we should be safe, I think it’s a good time to see where we all line up after this dreadful season. Has Ricketts done enough for you to stay in charge and build a squad to compete next year or do we need to thank him for his services but move in another direction? What are people’s thoughts?

He will still be in charge at the start of next season but I'm far from being comfortable with that situation.

Go. Not convinced and we’ve managed to stay up despite him being charge.

I just want him to bring in an experienced assistant. I think that could make a world of difference.

Its the transfer kitty that's the problem. Does SR have enough knowledge to bring in League one ready players. Needs help from experienced number 2.

Mind you League one ready players didn’t do much for us last time !!!

I will wait and see what sort of team, both physically and mentally, turns up tomorrow before I vote, Why? We generally lose end of season, nothing to play for games and I won't be surprised if that happens tomorrow. I wouldn't have Ricketts' job hinge on that.

Would we trust him with the transfer kitty🥺 Williams, Campbell - why not? More players to choose from in the summer.

No I agree but I would like to see that he has the ambition for our team to keep giving of its best right to the end and that he can pass this on to the team. I want to think that next season he has enough about him to inspire players and not be a ‘softee’.

No read my previous reply. I want to see the attitude tomorrow. Do they think it’s all over like we do or do they have enough pride in the shirt to give it’s good go.

Yes but the manager will be the same and I would like to think he can put his words into actions.

Tactically out of his depth. totally agree, I mean who in their right mind at 2-0 down in a cup tie takes off an attacker and puts a defender on ?

I’m torn on this. I was ready for him to go after the Wycombe game but he’s kept us in League 1 and I attribute that to a couple of excellent signings in Campbell and Williams.
I think he deserves another transfer window but would like an experience coach in to help him.

I agree with Gwynedd blue that an experienced assistant is required. Sams first task would have been to keep us up, he has done that. He has had to use players like Waterfall who were signed by Askey and in certain areas have improved them. I think he should be given a summer to prepare, get some better players in and see how we go. Some of his decision making has been a bit strange (rotation policy etc) and I feel an experienced hand next to him will help. I will like him to stay and learn from his many mistakes. The man who never made any mistakes did nothing.

Definitely keep him. He's a young manager but with enough playing experience and contacts to think he may succeed. Yes he's made mistakes this season but who didn't first year in their job? There's no guarantee of success but neither is there if we get rid and go with someone else. I'm happy to take a punt on his potential.

Have to agree on an experienced no2 , but I'm far from happy with the situation, on his own decision makings, do not think he is capable, the division is going to be stuffed full of good sides next season, keeping him in charge is not going to be good enough.
