An outground at Colwyn Bay, a deckchair, A burger van, a bar, no music, parking right by the ground, and a proper County game played by 2 teams in white. That will do for me. When's the Colwyn Bay fixture this season? Sunday August 18th to Weds August 21st.

I'm usually to be found on the top of the grass embankment behind the bowlers arm with my STFC cap on. I seem to have lost my Worcester one!

Ben Stokes has just added one of the best catches I've seen for some time to his excellent knock earlier in the day. An all round good showing from England today that will hopefully result in an opening victory.

Absolutely tremendous performance from Stokes and that catch tops it all, the best outstretched arm I’ve witnessed since he battered that defenceless chap in Bristol.
To think people on this thread were clamouring for his dropping from the World Cup XI, before the voice of reason (me) came along, outlined the facts of the case, and corrected them.

I am more than happy to eat humble pie. A run out as well to his name, it's been an excellent game for him.

Jofra Archer has also had an excellent debut.

Jofra Archer has also had an excellent debut. At times he’s bowled at speeds approaching my upper limit.

I've already got a full on throbber anticipating Jofra steaming up to bowl at David Warner.

Archer is the most natural cricketer I've seen.
Stokes is a gun big game player, whose innings looks even better with the benefit of hindsight. The fact he's a bellpiece doesn't detract from that.

Definitely impressive by England today. Most people thought SA bowled well but I disagreed. I think their batting is one of the weakest in the tournament and I can’t understand some people branding them potential finalists.
Stokes is definitely capable of these performances. Often he does nothing for months but then will do something like this - he is frustratingly inconsistent, whenever he does this people go on about how wonderful he is but since Bristol he’s done f all until today. Oh, and he is a giant bully, t**t and laugher of the disabled.

One of my favourites for the top four. Pakistan are pretty bad. Windies aren’t even playing their first choice XI here.

I'm off to Cardiff tomorrow to see New Zealand take on Sri Lanka.
Hopefully it won't turn into a glorified 20/20.

I'm going down on Tuesday to watch the Afghans play S.L. Deliberately chose this game as I think it could be close !!! In any event, hopefully closer than Pakistan v Windies.

Its usually minimum of 20 overs I think, after that no refunds, mind you that's weather related, I'm not sure about a "full" game only lasting 19.5 overs ?

This game was played at Trent Bridge, probably the flattest wicket in the country.
What happened?

Pakistan are in terrible form at the moment, while the WI are in a decent bit of form. That's what probably happened.
I thought Pakistan had an appalling attitude during the series against England. Not a happy team it appears.
