Shrewsbury were the better team especially in the second half, the shrewsbury following was vocal throughout and gave the ref all the stick he deserved. Town defended quite well in the second half and looked dangerous going forward that Langmead is a good player, and Ashton made some good runs down the wing. The red cards... Mossy went in two footed and got sent off cant really complain there.... although the guy who got mossy sent off had let his studs and mosseys thigh get to know eachother beforehand. O connor sent off for mouthing off at the ref i presume? after howie had saved the penalty well done Scotty it shouldn't have been re-taken and we deserved all 3 points easily. the referee was out to rob us from start to finish. the lino was almost as bad. I hate chester, s**t ground, s**t fans and s**t officials. not to mention diving cheating players. apart from that it was an enjoyable afternoon. i think we have enough to stay up, chester were pretty poor throughout the game. UP THE SHREWS

I just hope Shrewsbury reserves perform as well next Saturday....... are we likely to get in for less??? Walton,Mossy and O'Connor all braindead IMO,yes even O'Connor, he gobs off about every decision every week, always only a matter of time. Mossy 4 games I guess now what a complete and utter banker

That performance in the second half was the best I've seen away from home all season, maybe even the best overall. We need to pick up 3 points in games that we are playing well because we are still going to have games where we are going to play crap and we will lose every now and again, as for the penalty, well Dave Edwards stuck a foot out so as much as I vented my spleen at the ref he was always going to give it, but I'd really like to know just how far Howie jumped off his line.....

To be fair Ed, it was so frustrating as the peno didn't look a peno, it was saved by Howie legally, and there was 3 points were at stake in injury time of the game, Martin is our captain and approaches the ref in any kind of decision to calm things or have a say and he got a standing ovation when he went off. Our side needs 11 O'conners if only we could play 30 min game each way ;D

UP THE SHREWS Well said. Usually at this time on a Saturday i'm reporting all the negative aspects of Towns preformance. Today however I thought we played very well, Burns looked good, Ashton was EXCELLENT from corners and looked dangerous-green as fcuk, but dangerous. As for Langmead, what can you say...strong, full of energy, chased everything, stunning work rate, good from set piece, worked with Lowe for the goal. In short first class! O'connor-hero, got a knock, got up and played on whilst limping, does everything right-THIS GUY MUST BE MADE YOUTH COACH, he's a shinning example to the kids. I think the fact he's still in great shape and still cares about the club he plays for at 37 is testiment to his character! As for the manager...spot on! Had the guts to take Luke off at half-time after Luke had an ineffective first half-he wasn't gonna get anything out of a very physical Chester side. Was able to reorganise us to play with a fairly attacking style with just 10 men. As for his 1-man pitch invasion ! Could you honestly see Jimmy Quinn doing any of that? WERE STAYING UP!!! C U SATURDAY!!!
