Personally as a Spurs fan this is great news but as were so far into the season I think all our league games should be played at Wembley for fairness to all our PL teams.
But bring on the CL lol

Is it on the 1st of April? Ha ha. As just said surely it would be better to wait until next season. Much more fair on the other teams that have already had to play at Wembley.

But bring on the CL lol I actually don’t think that ANY league games should be played at Wembley, nor any FA Cup semi finals. Playing at Wembley has been cheapened by the fact that any Tom, Dick and Harry of the football world has been able to play there in recent years.

Does look a good ground, Is that safe Standing? Yup there is a kop style stand with bespoke safe standing areas. Locked as seats at the moment until legislation is passed

Wasn’t it let slip that Nike are Sponsering the ground. Nike Hart Lane does have a ring to it.

It would be good to get an away Cup tie there next season. Don't think we have played them at all.

Fine or point deduction? Bet the Premier League bottle on that! Why would it be a fine or point deduction when it was agreed in advance that some games would be played at Wembley, and when the delays were due to contractor's errors or over optimistic promises that were out of the club's hands? Shouldn't Spurs be praised for trying to build an excellent facility while remaining true to their roots and remaining in the same location?

Seems some football fans are plagued by the Green Eyed Monster. I hope that the ground remains as White Hart Lane, a name synonymous with a proper club and good football throughout the years.

Shame they drew Man City in the CL otherwise may have been an opportunity to get a ticket.
Will bide my time and see if there is an opportunity early next season in CL or League Cup

It is not a terrible suggestion, it is a sanction the Premier League have in their power.
There is no green eye. Just feel not fair on other teams in the Premier League.
Even Dancin agrees (see earlier post)

Suppose that includes the likes of Shrewsbury, Lincoln, et al. All those “ little teams” and their fans who would never otherwise have a cat in hell’s chance of playing at our National Stadium. But let’s keep elitism alive, and keep the Stadium for the sole use of our national team, and the few “wealthy” clubs who have a realistic chance of playing in the big finals.

Why would Shrewsbury have been affected? The post you quoted refers to league games and FA Cup semi-finals, not the games Town played in and could play in again in the future at Wembley. The "New Wembley" should be for cup finals, playoff finals and international football as it's predecessor was.

The "New Wembley" should be for cup finals, playoff finals and international football as it's predecessor was. Because the post said that the Stadium had been cheapened by letting any Tom, Dick or Harry play there. And let’s be honest, the likes of Shrewsbury Town can be described as such when put against the monolith’ s of the game , or the Premiership elite for want of a better term. What is being said, in essence, is that the Stadium should be for used for Internationals and Finals only. Why? It’s a “National “ stadium, and as such should be enjoyed by teams and their fans from throughout the country, surely. It should be “inclusive” not “ exclusive”. If Shrewsbury ever got to a semi- final of the FA Cup, would you be saying, no, this is not for us. Don’t think so.

The only reason that FA Cup semi-finals are played there is because of the ridiculous amount of debt that resulted from the original build and the need to pay off that debt. It is nothing to do with wanting to extend the use of the football stadium for anyone else's benefit.

I’d say I have a pretty decent chance - a good mate is a season ticket holder who can’t go to the game and is giving me his ticket.

Surely your mate being a season ticket holder will be entitled to 4 additional tickets.

Sorry but I would totally agree with the likes of Shrewsbury never going anywhere near the hateful place ever again - might just have something to do without record there. I doubt I will ever go there ever again anyway.
