Slice of luck with the handball but if it was going in anyway then it would have been 1-1 and who knows. Stupid from Norburn who nearly cost us a couple of points, have to back this result up now.

Back 3 DOESN'T WORk! Jaysus, invite some pressure why don't we! Entiely the opposite, he switched to a back three as Posh only had one man up front after their sending off. It also gave us five in midfield rather than the previous four so we could control the game better. A sensible change to make when playing against 10 men.

Yes since we have gone to a 3 at the back. It is inviting them to attack us. Don't get this With this team the best form of defense is attack! Playing with one less defender and one more midfielder isn't inviting pressure.

bizarrely Campbell goes off instead of Holloway as Docherty comes on. Ricketts said in the week that we'll get about an hour out of Campbell when he starts games.

town started the second half in control ,the home crowd virtually silenced and then Norburn gets sent off and whole complexion of the games changes , town park the bus and with a defence who are prone to switching off and leaking like a sieve buck the odds and hold on. Arnold drops hte ball but manages to recover and make a save ,Grant shoot smashes the post town's first win since December the 22nd. last twenty minutes seems to take for ever laurent,Waterfall, Campbell and Grant did a great job today .
dont know what to make of playing norburn and williams out of position

Great result, it sets up the back to back home games nicely. A real chance to make some progress by this time next week.

That's an absolute free hit of a 3 points due to the idiocy of Toney.
Norburn just can't do that though. We've got to be more disciplined.
A ref on a red card is always more likely to even it up.

The reason I don't like 3 at the back is that we have fullbacks but no wingbacks. Is Whalley a winger or not!

It will be interesting to hear what the fans that went to the game have to say. Radio shrop were very concerned for us at the beginning with defence poor, but then after afrer posh man got sent off we were the dominant team. They said that Waterfall played really well throughout the gam and they gave Grant MOM, but it would have been Norburn had he stupidly not got sent off. After he got sent off it was a nail biting time. I thought Rickets made some good substitutions but perhaps should have taken Norburn off before he got sent off but hindsight is a wonderful thing. As Campbell is only 19 apparently guidelines are to only play players of this age for 60 mins.
Well done Town a well needed win, but we need to continue winning now to be safe.

Yep, consistent with what Stokies told me. Plus, whilst I'm not a fan of Holloway and think he offers little attacking threat, if you want someone up front to play the target/hold up man to hold onto a victory then he's a better option than Campbell

A win from our game in hand on Tuesday night would see us up to the heady heights of 17th.

" i did not know that guideline considering he has scored back to back goals getting the best out of the 60 minutes s vital for town

Thank **** for that. Shame results elsewhere didn't go ourway Gillingham, Oxford and Walsall won. But Bristol Rovers, Rochdale, Bradford and Wimbledon all lost. So not too bad. And Walsall won against Bradford, so it's only the other 2 results which were disappointing.

Something of an unexpected bonus today but that said, if we're going to stay up, the points have got to come from somewhere!

A real turning point or a blip when a few things went our way? We'll find out soon enough.
