When it was the poweleauge I was able to take my 10 YEAR old son and his friends for a kickabout on the astro pitches before and after the game adding a great deal to the match day experience.. now the club have over they are locked up and I could not even pay to use them!guessing it all comes down to cost and h&s.the kids were most upset yesterday so we played on the training pitch and got covered in crap.it won't be long before this pitch is also a no go area for kids I predict .

I'd really like to know whether that would be cost effective (as I gather it would need to be in order to get the go ahead) because that sounds a great idea. I wonder how many parents were ever aware that was an option. I've no doubt that a kick about beforehand would add something to the day for the kids. I wonder if any other parents would consider doing the same if the club could organize something. I know I certainly would.

first week the woods beer ran out
but they seem to have come up with a solution
yesterday it was 40p more expensive and bar staff were so slow many people just sat there without a pint to save the hassle of queuing for 20 mins or stood as seating was very limited
apart from that its great lol

Just get 3 barrels more than required in a best sale scenario. Any barrels left will be in place for the next game in 14 days time. Any left at the end of the season take back over to the stadium. Get Martin, Andy and Chris in to serve from Jenny's, hang on that ship sailed 🤐 Seriously get a couple just pulling pints another two serving and taking payment.

Shelf life of real ale 3 to 5 days once opened and 6 weeks unopened BUT must be kept at around 11deg. But as there’s no cellar can’t be kept there between games hence no real ale prior to Smithys

Not as if Woods would be difficult to deal with...their owner us a proper town fan and they do alot for the club.

Not the owner now I’m afraid. The brewery was sold last year to someone from London. There’s an article in Brewery Today if you google it - I can’t get a copy to link it.

I pointed a sales rep of the Salopian Brewery in the direction of the Club last week.
Over optimism on my part I guess, as I'd imagine Woods already have a long term contract in place with the Club to be sole suppliers of draught beer.
But on a personal level I find Salopian to be far more palatable than Woods.

They have started letting away fans in now. Fair enough, but they seem to have dropped the amount of bar staff. 3 people servings is not enough.
They have all new staff as well, why not keep on the staff from before? Never really had to wait long when it was the power league.

Need a 2nd pump as bar staff are constantly waiting for other members of the bar staff to finish pulling pints. 2nd till needed too. And as already mentioned, more bar staff. Only 3 serving is totally inadequate, and they don't seem half as efficient as the old Power League Staff either.

Apart from the woman the three lads who were behind the bar at approx 2pm have certainly been serving recently. I also got served by someone using a till over by where the hatch was on the left.
