It is quite apparant that the fine line between passion and committment, and recklessness and stupidity, is one that certain players are finding hard to understand.
The battle cry for "getting stuck in" has raised the level of determination BUT....and this is the big thing....the players and management/coaching staff need to understand the point at which the line should not be crossed.
If it is true that Tolley was fighting in the tunnel, Chic, pushed a policeman, and both Mossy and M O'C "lost it", it will not look good for a club under investigation for "failing to control it's players".
I fear that there will be a tough few weeks ahead if this isn't addressed. That balance has to be achieved irrespective of what the opposition, or officials, may do to provoke such responses.
Passion yes, stupidity no.

What with all these injuries and suspensions it will be a very long christmas period. Will we have 11 players available for selection?

A few games coming up for Sedge at right back and Street centre mid, possibly Dave Edwards too - depends what happens with Tolley. The new loan guy or Stephens wide left, Walton back after next Saturday. Bench will be threadbare though

Mossy's tackle was silly, yes.
O'Connor was obviously given a second yellow card for complaining to the ref about the penalty re-take. However, can anyone on here honestly say they wouldn't have lost their rag with the ref out there yesterday?
The players showed committment, passion and most importantly battle. Every tackle made was with 100% effort. Every tackle, although incredibly tough was very clean (bar Mossy's) and not like Chester's odd double footed challenege.
The lads were superb yesterday and deserved the three points for their excellent performance.

well said mr loyalshrew, an excellent summary. It must be incredibly frustrating to work so hard for 90 odd minutes(plus hours in training) ,give 100% commitment and effort only for some clown of a referee to give a penalty(from where i was sat it was def not a pen) and deny you 3 very deserved points.

The problem with MOC is that he is always giving the ref grief, whether a decision is right or wrong. Most people who were already on a yellow would not have got involved. How many other people received cautions during that dust up?
