Well lets start by saying thanks to Hurst and the players for such a good season. Finishing third has been a great achievement with some great results along the way. But wheels really seem to have come off the side in recent weeks and its hard to compare recent performances with ones earlier in the season.
We now look luckluster all over the pitch; players on all positions are making the wrong choices and tactically its really hard to see what Hurst is trying to achieve at the moment. Morris is a shadow of his former self and could play until Christmas and not get another goal, he spends so long outside the box we have zero ability to put pressure on defenders at the moment. Despite having two forwards on the bench we resolutely stick to one up front - surely the last few games were a chance to play 2 up front.
Heads of the players seem to have gone down and there seems a collective spirit in the club the seasons over and this side is going through its last few games together.
Really hope we can pull something out of the bag in the next few games but currently this season is dying an ugly death after all the hope it once offered

And the point of playing 2 full backs in midfield whilst leaving Morris and Jones on the bench was? i thought that in the main Bryn morris has played well in all variations of his midfield role so it was a bit strange, my only thought was perhaps Hurst was trying to see if either of them could step into ogogo shoes .

I don't believe that the checkatrade will have impacted us that much - cup runs (including our own this season) seem to only rolled out as an excuse when there is a dip in form. Might be just as valid to say that our form was improved during the time we were riding high in the Checkatrade and looked invincible. It's losing agogo and third place that have knocked us, but we were lucky enough to have a bit of time to be down so that our resolve can come to the fore again in the play offs.

The last four games have been glorified training games. No matter what the players say it's been hard to be mentally at your best with nothing at stake. Just hope that winning mentality can snap back in place for Thursday.

in the previous two games towns midfield was to easily bypassed, i thought we looked a lot tighter in that area today.today did feel like an end of season game that did not count for anything but it does not explain the reluctance of so many players to not shoot.

I thought it was a game of two halves. In the fust half we didn't look like scoring, but in the second half we didn't look like scoring at all.

Felt very disappointed that we passed on the opportunity to set a club record number of points, and hate losing to that franchise lot (and we seem to have a good record of losing to them), I was so frustrated myself and my friends left early in the end which I’m not particularly proud of but the last few games have been just glorified training exercises which I can understand in preparation for the play offs, but it would have been nice to go into the play offs with some momentum, as Clinton Morrison said on Channel 5 last night, he doesn’t expect us to do well in the play offs as we are so out of form and if I was a neutral betting man on this I’d feel the same way, but then we have defied the odds all season, can we do it one more time on the most important stage of all? I hope so.

We've lost the pressing and intensity that we had a few games ago, and that's something that can't be just turned back on. I'm not confident at all for the play offs. We lost that as soon as we lost Ogogo! Although Riley in midfield yesterday was probably the closest we have had to that style of play since Abs has been out of the picture, Bryn Morris just isn’t that kind of player.

I thought Riley did reasonably well and it will be interesting if he makes the cut for the play-off team at the last minute. The problems yesterday were more with our strikers playing with their back to goal most of the time and both Nolan and Whalley underperforming. The passing and tempo needs to be a lot sharper in the play-offs, we need to try to get to the byline more and not be frightened to shoot.
Eisa definitely needs to be in the side or on the bench as he does offer something a bit different and his directness and willingness to run at defences could be major assets. I'd also include Arthur on the bench as I sometimes think his creativity gets overlooked - e.g. two assists in his last two games.

The last time we had 4 full backs on the pitch was under Peters.. .I never ever want to see it again.

Eisa went down the line set up some nice crosses just were you expect a forward to pounce and that is the problem ,whilst morris works hard and holds up the play, that goal poaching/ having a punt and gambling in the box does not appear to be in his skill set.however we have had this problem all season. as for Riley hurst has tried a number of variations to try and mirror what ogogo did for us ,i thought Riley did ok considering he is playing out of position
