I’ve a lot of time for Paul Hurst and his transformation of our playing squad and this is without doubt the most enjoyable season I’ve had watching Town for ar least two decades but he really needs to shut the f*ck up about the fans and play more attention to the football.
As a starting point perhaps he could share with the fanbase the contents of his half time team talk against Doncaster Rovers because his team have been very quiet ever since. Start there Paul

Bit harsh that our kid. I don't like his comments regarding the numbers (it's easy for him to say, he's not paying for a ticket) but regarding the noise, he's not raising anything that's not been raised here by the fans themselves many times over.

I too have observed and commented on the change of home form since half-time against Doncaster. To be fair though we have three reasons for this: Sickness in the squad; the training ground is wet, the MWM pitch hard. It's only right that the fans now accept our share of the blame!!!😏

I know a few people who have been riled by his comments post match . I’d like to know if PH told them to come out after half time last night and just shut up shop.

PH is probably trying to get the fans to lift a tired and jaded squad. The manager has done an amazing job despite the odd niggle (selection is a bit samey, loyalists to off form players and substitutions often too late to impact) but ultimately he's doing an amazing job and if wants to the fans to pick up the noise we have to try.
Don't think it's a dig at anyone he's just trying to get through the dip in form.

The point the manager is making is fair. We are a quiet crowd in comparison with many others and to get under 5,000 on a night when we could have gone top of the league is embarrassing.
Admittedly when it is an idiot like Simpson dishing out the complaints it is hard to take, but we as a fanbase are not beyond criticism.

Most League One grounds are similar in my experience in terms of atmosphere

You’re easily offended if that interview has upset you. A crap attendance and weird, half arsed, atmosphere even after taking the lead.

Wow, how old is the person that started this one? Old enough to feel able to swear but without the maturity to filter it. Some other people didn't like what he said but they were civilized in comparison. Whoever you are, you need to grow up and not take soundbites to heart.

Out of interest did you go last night Jamo as you seem to have taken his comments to heart?

I know a few people who have been riled by his comments post match . I'd suggest, in the words so often directed at managers and players, they need to grow a pair.

I totally agreed with the majority of what was said by Paul on the radio last night. A game where we were guaranteed to go top of league 1 with a victory and the attendance is less that 5000, I think that's really sad to be honest.
We've had some tough fixtures and we're limping a little bit but it's a good time to have a 'blip' if that's what it is. Perhaps the club could offer some big discounts in some of the up coming home games to rejuvenate the enthusiasm, help us to help Paul Hurst and the lads. Discount for buying a ticket for both the Posh and Walsall games perhaps?

There's no doubt he has a little pop at the start of the segment and then goes on to suggest we get louder when we are there.
Of course at the moment PH has the sun shining out of his back-side, but it will be interesting to see how fans react to such comments when things aren't going well for him.
I mean, imagine the reaction if Mellon had said something like that and he's won something win us.
Personally, I feel that when PH has spent over 60 quid on tickets over a week, plus other costs and whatnot, then have a pop, otherwise leave it.

PH comments annoyed me initially, shouldnt really have a go at the fans, but he has a point. The team are knackered, they have put 100% into every game making a fantastic season so far, they need that backing. There are some miserable and lazy fuxxers in our stands at the moment, we're 2nd ffs. I get we havent been playing well recently and its difficult to find the motivation at times, but we're in this together. It works the other way too yeh know, we back them more like we did at the start of the season maybe they would find their confidence again 🤔, ever thought of that silent fans?. If we dont go up now i reckon its our fault not theirs. Sing up salop or we can say goodbye to promotion, and hello south stand (which is where i sit and probably only one that sings), WAKE UP

When we go up, he'll want the challenge of keeping us up.
But if I'm wrong and we stay down, then who's going to want him?
The miserable fecker isn't going anywhere and he'll definitely not want to go to the likes of Blackburn or Wigan knowing he'll be back in League 2 with points deductions in a few years.

Why try to create divisions and drama that aren't there in our best season for decades? As soon as we drop a few points apparently we're no longer in this together the #lovethisteam goes out the window (along with toys out of the pram) and we get this sort of stuff. I don't like being personal or rude but this is embarrassing. There's a clue in the word "supporter." Hopefully you'll have a rethink...Have a pop back if you like but I suspect you know I'm right!

PH was giving a rallying call to fans, players and staff to get all to play a part in the success of the team. He was not criticising anyone. Just a thought but one suggestion - to get all areas singing - perhaps put one or two confident singers at the bottom of each block to encourage the fans to get involved. I don't think you will get everyone singing because newcomers won't be confident to join in or won't know the words, except Salop and come on you blues.

These are football matches played by professional footballers! It's not the Eurovision Song Contest! Fans cheer etc when their team is playing well. Not when they're getting battered. We're having a great season, lets not be so gloomy.

Tony Mowbray If the club move him on after getting in the Champ, it's a possibility. But an unlikely one. Would your guy consider a move to Sunderlahd, if they where in the division, a step up? Would they improve his wages?
