Listening from a distance, set pieces seem would be where I would target for more goals. Delivery of free kicks and corners seems pretty inconsistent at best. I remember Gary Peters targeting this issue and got a fairly ropey team getting goals. Agree with most that we shouldn't change the system, just tweak to improve. Worth remembering that Leicester's champions had a run of 1-0s ground out when teams put men behind the ball and Huddersfield won promotion last season with a negative goal difference. Good point. If we could improve our set piece delivery we've got plenty of height and strength to take advantage of it.

Ennis is a damn good striker - if we get him back fit after xmas he could be a revelation. Is that likely? I haven't heard anything of him since he got injured - don't even know what the injury is. If he's nearly fit again, great, otherwise a new loanee would surely make more sense. On a similar topic, does anyone know when Jules might be fit again? The defence is a bit short on numbers without him and Brown.

I have only seen Ennis play once at Forrest and he wasn’t a revelation that night..........we need a Tom Eaves type striker. Someone who can create by themselves

Whats the obsession with the goal scoring. If we are winning games.... who cares. I will take a 1-0 win anyday. So would Mourinho. Which is why he's getting some criticism of his style of play compared to Guardiola's at Man City. Could that be because he is the manager of one of the biggest team in the world who have success for the past 25 years.? We haven't

The lad hasn’t played for months and we haven’t got the time to get him match fit.
Hurst needs players to hit the deck running in January

completely disagree with you . Man City - conceded 2 against stoke and West Brom . Conceded against West Ham , Everton , soutampton - all average teams . Do you think they won't win the title ? Goals win games , not clean sheets . City have the joint best defence in the league. Their goal scoring is a bonus. Liverpool have an incredible attack (yet have scored less than boring Man United) yet find themselves much lower in the table. fair enough point , but still don't think a defence wins a title . Draw 46 games 0-0 , you'll get relegated . We had one of the best defensive records in the bottom half of league 1 under turner because he was so defensive , still got beat most weeks .

We also need to remember that teams fear us. They sit back with plenty of men behind the ball. This is hard to break down.

With Grodfrey/morris as defensive mids. And Nolan linking the play, what is Ogogo's role? Should he be linking up play instead or should he be the one charging into the box? Ogogo's role to me looks to be to cover every blade of grass... twice. I think if he has a weakness it is in the attacking box. It is a shame because with the ball playing Nolan, and the ball winning Godfrey it would create a balance if he could be the player who gets in to support the front man. However I think it will have to be the role of the wide players (and Nolan) to support the striker ,and we have to accept we are not going to score lots of goals, but the defensive security of the 5 man midfield means we should not have to score too many to win. I do think Rodman does a good job of getting in the box when the ball is crossed from the right.
