The 2003/04 season may be coming to end, but don’t worry the build up to the 2004/05 starts soon. Here are the key dates for next season. Admission of new Clubs. For so long as the number of Clubs in The League shall be 70 or more no new club shall be admitted as a member of The League to replace a Club ceasing to be a member pursuant to Article 4 of the Articles of Association. In the event of the number of Clubs falling to below 70 the Board shall be empowered to admit clubs as new members up to a maximum number of 70 Clubs. Such new members shall only be admitted prior to the beginning of a Season, and shall play in the Third Division in their first Season.

It doesn't glyn because they would be entered into the Premiership, which is a totally separate competition from The Football League. If they were invited by the board of the Premiership and accepted then there is nothing the FL could do about it.
I hope it never happens, mind you...

Ahh right - but would the FL have to accept the teams that would be relegated extra from the Prem if that were the case?? They could kick up a fuss and defend the lower leagues and thus still stop the move or forse the Prem to expand by 2 teams

I suspect any plans to bring Celtic and Rangers in would also involve creating a Premiership 2 by inviting the bigger teams from Division One (Wolves, Sunderland, Palace, Millwall etc) into the fold. There has already been talk of a second Premier league to have two divisions of 18 teams.
It would mean more wealth with the few and less for the rest...

If Celtic and rangers get into the premier league will we still be allowed seperate international teams or will a GB team be insisted on ?.

I suspect any plans to bring Celtic and Rangers in would also involve creating a Premiership 2 by inviting the bigger teams from Division One (Wolves, Sunderland, Palace, Millwall etc) into the fold. There has already been talk of a second Premier league to have two divisions of 18 teams. It would mean more wealth with the few and less for the rest... Thats crap aint it - i dont want them anywhere near us!!!
