Well - got up Sunday and straight to the bog that settled things for half an hour and then straight to bog again.
Joined the mega queue to Stoke and regretted having that large cup of Tea and sat cross legged for half an hour until we found a short cut via a country road where one farmers field became a public latrine I'm am sure some of you know it well.
Arrive at Stoke and had a job eating my sarnies just about kept them down.
The game did not quite go to plan i.e. 4-nil at half time and a fifth after to calm the nerves and celebrate early!
Rogers does a Jonny Wilkinson with his first penalty (Oh boy! )
Howie saves - my energy and confidence starts surging Tolley Scores the adrenilin is pumping Howie does a wonder save (could this be it) Sedgey boy strokes it in (our best penalty taker I reckon) Howie saves (you beauty) Challis scores (Lets all have a disco)
ahhhhhhhhhh I don't feel nervous I am just in a state of shock the Promised Land beckons! ;D

Felt fine for most of it. Started s**tting bricks towards the end of the 90 minutes tho'. Maybe I felt fine because I had resigned myself to another year in the Conference.... Thank fully I was wrong

Was remarkably calm all week, and all game......until the penalties.
Then the reality of it hit as I looked round and could see everyone. I knew what it could possibly feel like in a few minutes and I didn't want to go there again, or see you all suffer as I had done in the past. There was real fear.
It all came flooding back and I just about managed to pull it together for the first kick, we know about that, before I was screaming for Scott as the Reading old boy, to do what I knew he could do. Aftrer that frst save - well - suddenly there was one of those "revelation" moments, and the presentation flashed through my mind
What was worse is that in all the interviews when they referred to "that game" afterwards, I would crack up again at the relief of not "going there" a fourth time. Positively no make up left when I got back home but plenty of sunburn/dehydration!

Surprisingly calm in the shoot out, as against Barnet. I think by then you just accept that what will be will be.
Really nervous as it got towards the end of 90 mins and each 15 min period. The thought of conceding a late goal was terrible.

Phil T had a pint of water which I had a little drink of just before the penalties
According to Soupie, my hand was shaking uncontrollably as I took a sip!

Very nervous in the morning- dont think my wife thanks me for getting us there for 9.30am but I just wanted to be there. Surprisingly not nervous with the mascot stuff just very enjoyable- a little worried when they came out of the tunnel- zach suddenly looked a bit lost until Tinson grabbed his arm and he was fine- the penalties- well we have been through that before- no problem
