Bury fan had what looked like a heart attack by away ticket office, defibrillator, compressions etc. Taken away by ambulance?

Just spoken to the patients son. His dad is critical but stable in hospital and still fighting He's extremely grateful for all the work done by stewards Red Cross and West Mids Ambulance at the ground and all the work being done by nurses and doctors at the hospital I told him that town fans were asking after him and had him in their thoughts for which he was very grateful

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

Laptops been to the hospital and the blokes recovering according to Facebook.
Apparently his family have had a conversation with the patient where he asked what the score was?!

Thought i'd register and share some good news we've received today. Here's an update form his son from our MB: Hi all yes Dad finally came home yesterday! He's had an ICD fitted and has had a comfortable first night home. Thanks for asking! Good to have him back. He's looking forward to getting back to Gigg Lane as soon as possible once he's allowed back! Apparently if he wasn't at the football ground he wouldn't have stood a chance so being a Bury fan saved his life! UTS. It's on this thread: www.gigglane.com/index.php?/topic/28382-bury-fan/&Thanks for all your concerns (this is when football fans come together) and special mention to your stewards and the medical staff...they literally saved his life. Now can you make him feel even better and get off this pesky good run you're on! ;o)

Thanks for the update.
Pleased he's on the mend.
But it's not just us that's on a pesky good run at the moment. You and Oldham are doing much the same.

And yes, Oldham are as pesky as you lot. We might seem to be on a good run, but only coz we lost a zillion games on the trot before! That said, our dour 4 points from 2 home games and our last minute winner at Chesterfield, over the last 3 games could well be massive. I feared the worst after leaving your place...we were woeful. Actually, i've just checked our record over the last 7 games and its W3 D3 L1...promotion form! Prior to that it was W0 D4 L16. Be funny if Vale went down wouldnt it?! Anyway, it's all put into perspective when someone's life was at stake...sort of makes football irrelevant.

Agree about Vale, but I fear they will be saved by a woeful Gillingham. Still, that is fine by me, horrible trip. Pleased to hear the fan is recovering well.
