Just thought I would share this with you all.......been trying to buy 2 tickets for the cup game; I have two season tickets in block 14. I have tried for about an hour to get on line to buy and print the tickets at home. The site would not recognise my password despite logging in several times. I elected to ring the club on the number given and eventually got through to a guy who I presumed was at the Meadow, until he asked me if the ground was still called Gay Meadow.....I said I thought he was at the ground and he told me..no, I'm in Manchester... Went through the process of buying the tickets to be then informed that the two tickets had to be posted seperatly incurring £5.60 on top of the ticket value. I told him to forget the postage and that I would try and get in to Shrewsbury over the next week to pick them up.....he then tells me that it will still cost me £2 per ticket to pick them up in person! How daft is that? I've bought extra tickets lots of times over the counter and never been charged extra. Anyway, given that it will cost me money and time to drive in from Whitchurch I have elected to pay the £5.60 extra and have them delivered...that'a a bigger rip off than Paypal!!
I honestly think that if I can't print from home and it's not my fault, the club should at least waive the £2 handling charge over the counter. I've gone with the flow on this one because I simply can't be arsed to argue the toss and didn't want to stick a spanner in the system and lose my place in the waiting calls..grrr.......ticketmaster strikes again

and for all this increased efficiency thank Matt Williams. Not only has he cleared off but his Ticket Office Manager didnt last long either. Mind you I bought online and while I could have had a tooth out quicker managed to pay for and get confirmation that the ticket would be despatched to me. Go down and collect was £22.00 including the hated booking fee. Having it posted was £22.60. Absolute no brainer

Im not aware of anything from the club to officially state you cannot print at home for this game. I dont really have a problem with this considering demand is high and the club/police arent going to want fans to be able print off lots of tickets for it
But it would be decent if the club could have publicly acknowledged this rather than fans finding out because the option isnt there

No reason they can't be printed off or even better added to the ST card (it s 2016) except that the club and Ticketmaster make more by not allowing that option. I for one will be looking for a refund of at least 3 x £2.60 And would suggest others do the same...... One for the SP on Tuesday

That's the way most online tickets work without queues of people with counterfeit tickets

I linked three of us, and just paid the £2.60, which is still too much. I've had to pay the £2.60 four times! It's the first time I've purchased online and I'm pretty computer literate as I stare at them all day for a living. I have to say I found the process a PAIN!!
Firstly, it isn't clear that you have got to activate your account if it's your first time. I have a ST and have bought loads of other tickets on that number so I assumed I already had a account... WRONG...
Go back, start again... Click 'Activate Account' ... Did that, found they had all my info already, ok so why do I need to 'activate it?'
Do that, doesn't go through...
Invalid Mobile Number? But that was part of the info you already had stored.. Man this is s**t..
Ah, I see it's lost the 0 from the start... Why did YOU do that!? Ok, I'll put that back in.. Right it's working now...
Ok, I have a seat reserved, put it into my basket... it's in my basket, now how do I view that??? Errrr ... Click back maybe??
Man this site is s**te!!
Ok, **** that I'll log out and back in...
Right done that I'm back in after waiting ages for it to load, ahh now it will let me view my basket and check out...
I thought this was supposed to be easy FFS!!!
What feels like hours of waiting later it appears to have worked... I've bagged my ticket...
Dunno what everyone is moaning about!? ;P

The £2.00 fee is per transaction so surely buying the 2 tickets should have counted as one transaction. This season I have used the Ticketdisaster system several times to buy away tickets both for multiple people and for multiple matches and it only charges one fee and postage. I even had to get tickets over the phone from GM ticket office for 5 Gainsborough tickets and was only charged once. All tickets even for different games are sent in one envelope. Ticketdisaster agents surely should do that too? There aren't any fees applied to tickets bought in person at GM, unfortunately if you live 100 odd miles from Shrewsbury that isn't an option. PS I should point out that I've never bought through a ticketdisaster agent so no idea if they operate different rules but definately something the club needs to address.

I didn't realise at first being at STH as I usually pick up away and cup tickets from the ticket office but he clearly got the ticketing very wrong for the fans. The only benefit appears to be the club are able to collate fan data, but that is of little use when the added admin charge is leaving supporters pockets and going to ticketmaster as well as the additional inconvenience to shrewsbury supporters and falling attendances because of it.
For me this is a priority issue for the SP to tackle with the new CEO!

Should we warn Burnley fans if there's talk of a new ticketing systems and change to the buffet food.. Will be impossible to change their ticket system without major chaos, the loyalty points last forever.
