Leutwiler
Grimmer Smith Whitbread Knight-Percival Brown
Black Ogogo
Whalley
Akpa Akpro Mangan
Halstead Grandison Sadler Wellens Vernon Vassell Clark
Got to get Whalley in the team for me, I know he's been a great impact off the bench but he should be looking to start a game the way he has been playing. Would like to see Demetriou in the match day squad but isn't going to happen. The big one is centre midfield with Wallace injured I would stick Ogogo back in there if he's fully fit.

Wow an actual thread started by a member not discussing the f'n man u game!
I've no idea on our team, pot luck!
I'd like to see Clark in. Not quite sure why he was dropped (this time).

If by having Agogo in the side we can stop conceding from long range then it's a yes from me.
3 5 2 much the same as Tuesday but with Ogogo in for Wallace.
Just avoid defeat in these 6 pointers and maybe a clean sheet. We're seeing our first game since Peterborough.
Looking forward to seeing Collins, barnett, Kaikai.....

Ok with Agogo so long as he is fully fit. No good playing him tomorrow and then he's out for another month!!!!

After watching the goals and games recently things in defence need to change. MM needs to start realising that he has made mistakes

Tootle rather than Grimmer, Dooble? ... and young Jack not even on the bench!
And Black?

So you'd bring Tootle straight back into the side?
This is the same Tootle who has not been selected in any 18 man squad since 31/10/15! That's over 3 months ago.
He's got as much a % chance of playing as MD. Which is a big fat zero.

Will Grandin go straight in the side?

Will Grandin go straight in the side? Can't see that. Though could well be on the bench.

Play Demetriou on his own, Fleetwood won't stand a chance!

Play Demetriou on his own, Fleetwood won't stand a chance! Failing this, what do you suggest we do with the left side of our defence? Brown is not a defender, and I can't see the return of Sadler bringing much improvement.

We can't buy anyone now unless they are free agents. Transfer window has closed.
I neglected to mention that Tootle regularly played LB for Crewe. But that's hardly an option either.

We are all aware of MD's limitations. But both Sadler and Brown have been tried and found wanting. MD hasn't been given a chance since day 1 of this season.

Not convinced about Smith.
His positioning was all wrong for Southend's 2nd goal.
Brown is no LB either.
But I certainly can't enthuse about their possible replacements Sadler and JG (if fit).
With Goldson, Ellis and Gerrard gone we seem light at CB. JG is either injured or badly out of form, and NKP hasn't been the player he was last season, which is understandable bearing in mind his very bad injury.

Grandison back in the defence - could be interesting! Good to see Whalley start a game though deserves a chance after recent performances

Much like Goldson, he's not going to get it right all of the time. Many people seemed to blame Goldson for daft errors that cost us games and of course they were right. But the fact is that other than his daft errors he was a decent young defender learning his trade and he did it so well that he was spotted by a club from a higher division.
Quite simply Smith might not be the complete defender just yet, but you have to play them if they're ever going to learn.

From the BBC's text commentary...
"Attempt missed. David Ball (Fleetwood Town) right footed shot from the right side of the six yard box is close, but misses the top right corner from a direct free kick."
Er... How can you have a direct free kick from the right side of the 6 yard box?

Sounds like either team could be leading. Two frail defences but nobody can finish their chances.
Interesting Dunny mentioned Gary Peters is at the game and had a chat with Wycherley at half-time. Surely he hasn't gone all that way just to watch Jack Grimmer? Or is he the stop gap being lined up if Mellon finally gets fired?
