You can't blame him for going to Brighton but 3 games without him we looked so disjointed at the back but yet he has not even made the bench in any of Brighton's game's as of yet but never the less good luck to him

I had noticed Connor had not made the bench so far. This is quite odd really, can't imagine he went there to play in the reserves. I am sure it will work out for him though, his quality will be seen in time and he has a great attitude. From our point of view it's great to see NKP on the bench, we will be more solid when he's on the pitch.

I think you are forgetting he has a hamstring injury!!!!! I wish him every good luck for the future and he is definitely one whose career I will follow. In the meantime, come back NKP but not too soon that you are off again.
To answer the post yes we do look lost without him.

Never mind. Rumour has it we are signing this 6'4" guy whose last club was (who else?) Barnsley.

Grandison is a good player when next to a leader but a leader he ain't, nor is Ellis. Hoping NKP will be back to fill the void. Despite the talk of captains throughout the team we seem to be lacking players to drag us through the tough times.

I don't feel frustrated at all. Goldsons gone, good luck to him.

In the long term I think it was the right thing for the club assuming we haven't sold him on the cheap. My only frustration comes from the timing of the transfer, but that is always a risk when bigger clubs are involved. MM went through pre season blending Grandison and Goldson as his preferred defensive pairing and now it looks like as if he's starting all over again, maybe reverting to a 3 like last season. Grandison will be fine at L1 level, Ellis looks out of form and vulnerable at the moment whilst I don't think we can expect NKP to play at his best for several more weeks yet. Sadler did OK yesterday so we will see if he remains and can develop in that position.

Surely MM would know it was likely Goldson would be leaving, and should have made plans for it.

Yes, the timing of a player's departure these days is dictated by the transfer windows.

Disappointing that hes not getting game time at Brighton just yet! still early days. Im sure I read Wednesday were interested in Goldson this time last year. Was disappointed that we didn't go in for him this time especially at only £950grand. He'd deffo be a starter at centre back and would have formed a great young partnership with Lees. Seems our new regime prefers a scatter gun approach Anyway my conversation is drifting a bit, keep the faith Shrews and good luck.

All joking aside... Maybe he had pulled his hamstring...? According to a thread on Brighton north Stand chat it is mentioned he is injured at the moment!
