Really should be a match we're winning due to newly promoted team too and at home
First proper game on a Saturday at home too as millwall was all ticket and right in the middle of holiday season.
Aparently theyve got over 1000 coming and would like to see a much better turn out from the salop faithful than what was at millwall

They're in form, we're not.
Millwall felt pretty 'proper' to me.
I wants don't get.

We didn't beat them last season, they are in better form than us, a very difficult game ahead!

My bad! Either way, we will need to play well to get the win. Still not convinced that MM knows his best formation and line up yet.

Still not convinced that MM knows his best formation and line up yet. I wouldnt disagree but I remember plenty of people saying similar last season at the beginning. In fact it was remarkably similar to this season saying too many central midfielders and they were of a similar (defensive) nature

Beginning to think Saturday is a really important game
Burton are a side we can compare ourselves too from last season and provide a good judge on how we are progressing - or not from last season
Have a feeling a good solid performance and win, on the back of the good performance on Tuesday, could kick start our league campaign.
But we really need to cut out the defensive errors and take chances when they come. Draw wouldn't be too bad but don't really want to contemplate what a third home defeat in a row would do to team and fans

A draw stopping the rot at home would be acceptable but a win would make us all deliriously happy either one I fear will be difficult to achieve against an in form Burton

With Barnsley the following week we really need a win at home otherwise we could be looking at 2 points from 6 games and fans calling for MM's head. Worse start than 13/14....... Predict a win 3-2

5-0 to Burton.
Sadler to give away 5 penalties.
Duffy to score a double hat trick.
Roland to sack MM live on Shropshire radio minutes after the final whistle.

Game does not have a good feel about. Need to get that first league win. Not confident it will be Saturday.

Beware Duffy. He's against Sadler. The last time Sadler in a Shrewsbury shirt met Duffy - ''After 48 minutes Mat Sadler tripped Duffy and Laurence Wilson scored from the spot.''

Sadler has played well the last 2 games and was excellent stopping those cross balls from getting past him!

Burton were one of the worst attacking teams to come to the GM last season. Possibly no shots on goal at all, as I recall, but very solid defence. We didn't play well there but should still have taken a point, had Demetriou (remember him?) not missed a sitter late on.
Teams are a bit different I know, but we meet on equal terms and we've nothing to fear. Their good start and our slow start shouldn't affect it - far too early to pay much attention to league positions. We're a decent team and it's time we started to show it in the league.
Not a must win but we could certainly do with one.
