So there we go then... Town are going up and I can almost start planning my weekend away to Blackpool! Just thought I'd drop this in - Sky Bet currently have us as third (or joint second) favourites to win League One next season at 12/1. Worth a tenner, surely?

That must surprise Steve Claridge bearing in mind his comments on The Football League Show.

Claridge suffers from being a complete Tart. I have town down to finish in 7th place.

12s are very skinny and the potential overround is awful as would be expected I suppose at this early stage. Once all 24 teams are known we'll be nearer 20s.

12/1 is awful odds, i would have us more like 66/1

Considering I had us at 16/1 to win the league this season, I wouldn't want to go anywhere near 12/1 for League One!

Agreed Pilch. No value to be found there. Things go our way on Saturday and I'll be cashing in on the 12/1 price I got for us to win L2 in July last year.

I'm still concentrating on my £20.00 @ 11/1 to win league 2. I've said all along, I'm taking Juan season at a time.

Strange really. For a division which at times over the last few years has seemed a bit like swimming with sharks, the make up of it looks likely to be bit more even next season. No wolves, Norwich or Leeds to steamroller their way to one of the top spots by default.
I guess a lot will depend on Wigan. Can't see Blackpool or Milwall (or indeed Rotherham) bouncing straight back.
From a purely practical point of view I hope Sheffield United or MK Dons go up in the play offs. Both clubs which have been threatening to go really well in that league for a while.
Think the title's a bit ambitious but top 6? You never know.

Absolutely no value in those odds.
I suppose the bookies are wary of us potentially doing a Chesterfield and challenging for successive promotions.
I agree with Frankwell here, League One looks a lot more friendly a prospect than it did a couple of years ago. My optimistic hat says we should be aiming for top half finish.

I wouldn't touch 12/1. I would be expecting 50/1 as a minimum.

12/1 no value whatsoever.
Burton 14/1 a joke too once their loan players disappear.

No obvious giants in there at this stage so it might be quite open, but 12-1 is crazy.
It'll be a pleasant surprise to me if we're anywhere near the play offs and not at all bad if we just stay up without too much fuss.

I suppose we have to look at a team like Chesterfield as a benchmark.
Like us, they have been promoted, relegated and promoted. Their new stadium is similar to ours, so are their attendances (6000+) and I'm guessing their budget may be about the same as ours.
