As posted on Sky Bet League 2's Twitter page and as voted for by League 2 managers: 10: Plymouth Argyle's Reuben Reid9: Shrewsbury Town's Bobby Grant - 8: Burton Albion's John Moushinho7: Shrewsbury Town's James Collins - 6: Burton Albion's Stuart Beavon5: Portsmouth's Matt Tubbs 4: Portsmouth's Jed Wallace3: Wycombe Wanderers' Alfie Mawson2: Shrewsbury Town's Ryan Woods - 1: Bury's Danny MayorIt's great to see Grant, Collins and Woods being recognised, with Town picking up more top ten places than any other club in League 2. It seems Woodsy only just missed out... COYB!

A certain Goalkeeper should be in there........ You could say that about Ellis and Goldson as well?

Ellis is stretching it as he was set on the bench for the first half of the season. The thing with football at this level is that the most any manager is likely to have seen us play 90 minutes is 6 times - our two games against them, two games before we played them as scouting and the two games on TV. It'll be, generally, players like Bobby who have some horror shows but are also capable of many sublime moments who get nominated - their sublime get them noticed over someone consistent like Connor.
The exception to this seems to be Woods finishing second, but just watching him play for 5 minutes will show you that his technique is above pretty much everyone's in this league and he'll play at a higher level, even if he doesn't always influence games with goals or assists as much as we might like.

It does make you wonder what the rest of the league sees in Woods that we obviously don't. Or on the contrary, watching a handful of Town games in the first half of the season you could be mistaken for him being an absolute gem, but I'd be surprised if people had him down as second best player in the league if they watched him week in week out. Still a player of great potential mind, and if everyone else thinks so highly of him it will only add £££ to his transfer value.
Same with Grant to an extent, would have liked to have seen our defensive record acknowledged a bit more. Goldson perhaps or even Lawrence.
Then again sides can only judge opposition players on the two games they've played against us so hardly surprising results my vary.
I must say the single most impressive performance I've seen by an opposition player was Lawson D'Ath of Northampton. Absolutely ran the show down here.
