As we know home gates have been disapointing this season, they have generally remained constant with around 4,500 home fans despite us being at the top end of the table for most of the season, a great home record and on top of that a high profile game in the league cup.
We have all had a bit of a moan on here but have we done anything to get the fans back? Mickey and the team have doing their part, I think the commercial side are doing their bit with a constant push for the flexi ticket and reminders of upcoming games, from a fans perspective I was wondering whether we can do anything? I was thinking could the fans groups try and get the Star involved, a bit of a rallying call to the casual fans to get back to support the team and a reminder what they are missing out on. The Southend game is another big game, could that be nominated as something, eg flag day, b&a day, anything to try and win back some of the fans?
I know things like this are traditionally done towards the end of the season, a prime example is the great escape season, but gates are likely to naturally increase then if we are (hopefully) in a promotion position. It would be good to try and do something now because despite the good feeling around the club clearly it isnt enough to get the fan back and that is the only disapointing thing that is happening at the Greenhous at the moment.

Really would be good to get 6,000+ in v Southend as they are the inform team now, we've seen Exeter and Plymouth and now maybe Newport push up and fall back and now Southend are on the rise.
I think everyone remembers the difference the crowd made back in the 2011/12 promotion season against Southend when we won 2-1 with only 10 men.
Time for a repeat performance and cement our place on top of the table

Do they produce posters to promote forthcoming games that fans can put up in their community? Either available to pick up or print out?

Both sides with only one defeat in ten and on the back of 3 consecutive wins. Only 4 points separate us. Huge, huge game, should be a cracker.

But I'm not a fan of these Posters , imo they're pointless . Everybody that considers going to watch the town will know when the home games are so seeing a poster will not get you anymore fans . Whereas an offer will.

In the village I live in there are at least four to five season ticket holders, but also at least double or triple that number ofregular supporters with further occasional fans.
A simple poster stuck on the village notice board or in the shop window would hopefully improve the amount of attendance by the lesson regular fans.

I noticed at the Bristol City west Ham cup game last sunday, the club put a free scarf on every seat and what a show they made. I know town cannot afford to do that with the sparse gates town suffer.
but to celebrate the return of the loggerheads, can the club shop produce a new loggerheads badged scarf and put it on sale at cost, 1 home game, say town v Exeter on 11/4/15. we need to start practicing large attendances ready for league 1, er next august.
