Can't remember the last time we played on a Thursday that wasn't around an Easter or Christmas/New Year period...

I remember us beating Exeter 4-1 at Gay meadow on a Thursday night in May 1979 to clinch the championship of the old Division 3.

Sorry Calimero, I know how much you love your emmerdale ****ing farm on a Thursday night...no, in all seriousness, your right, football on a Thursday night us just weird, but if it gives STFC a platform to wow sky TV sports subscription customers with our dazzling footy skills and humiliate Luton Town in the process then bring it ****ing on (sorry for swearing )

Yes 17th May 1979, a fine Thursday night at the Meddah And just randomly, the Top 5 songs in the UK charts on that day were.. 1/ Art Garfunkel - Bright Eyes 2/ M - Pop Muzik 3/ Blondie - Sunday Girl 4/ Boney M - Hooray Hooray It's A Holi-Holiday 5/ Roxy Music - Dance Away

Me and a mate danced away up the Cop with bright eyes, to celebrate with a few beers. I remember though feeling quite subdued because it just did not seem real that we would be playing at Level 2 the following season.
