As well as the town being impressive I thought the ref, Mr Swarbrick was quality tonight. The 48 year old has really come on as a ref over the years.

Lawrence was quicker with his brain to night and should have had a few booked for them ist half but it never went our way. Poor in my opinion.

Drogba had him in his pocket. Can't believe Mourinho thought he favoured us but then that's Jose's way, isn't it? Gave them some very soft decisions though lord knows we've seen far worse refs.

Thought he was a typical premier league ref, protected them thoughout. as soon as it started to get physical he blew up for a foul. Very frustrating at times

Several times I got the feeling that the ref was more worried about Jose's reaction than giving the right decision.
Penalising JG for winning a 50/50 shoulder to shoulder with Drogba was laughable.

Agree I felt the TV cameras and Jose affected him.

As said elsewhere he was well placed to see the Drogba handball - Drogba wasn't subtle - and it wasn't given. That's bad.

Not too impressed here either. Didn't do us any favours

He would've been more familiar with one of the groups of players and coaching staff and that may have subconsciously affected the 50-50 decisions.

Every time I shout 'FFS ref' or 'bloody rubbish ref' I knock a mark off the score. He was a 7/10 for me, and that is a decent score for a ref at our ground. I have got into the minus figures before

The only gripe I had was when Chelsea players did that annoying "stopping running because someone brushed your shirt" thing and got a free kick.
Making the decision for him.
