2 quality loan signings I dont suppose there is any chance of getting Grimmer on a permanent but thought Grant looked really good tonight There must be a chance of signing him up?

These guys both look quality and in particular Grant looks like a major player for us when he is fully match fit. Agree that Grant is the more likely to be a permanent signing if we are interested in keeping him.

Could tell they were class acts at York and both stepped up another level last night.

Think they could both play on a season long loan, incidently I think both of them are out of contract at the end of the season.

Both on season loans would be cracking business. With sellable assets like Woids, Goldson et al a couple of loan players is no problem - what they offer in terms of improving the team outweighs the fact we have to wave them goodbye at the end of the season.

Given that Grimmers initial one month loan with Vale was extended from January to the end of last season and Grant was meant to stay at Fleetwood until the end of last season (if it wasn't for his injury) suggests to me that both clubs would be receptive to season long loans. Let's hope so anyway

Know its early days for both loan players but they strike me as being just the kind of player we should be looking to sign full time
I'm sure there would be a cost to doing this but a player like Grimmer would be worth investing in. Sell to him a regular first team place, chance to progress his career and indication we'd be happy to sell on to a bigger club in 2 years time and can see the investment paying off. In return we get a good player for two years and hopefully a return on our investment
Slight risk to doing that as we have had loan players shine then fade before (Eaves) but think its a strategy for the club to progress

Both look more than able to work in this division, Grant needs a goal or two. Obviously he's been injurred which hasn't helped but he hasn't scored since he was at Rochdale which cant be good for his confidence. Helooked prettu confident last night tho.

more short term, but are they available for cup games ? Well, thanks to us, Blackpool went out of the League cup at the first hurdle, and Grant didn't play for them that night, so as he is not cup-tied and Blackpool have no further interest in the competition, he should surely be available if picked for the Chelsea game. Grimmer is also not cup-tied, as he didn't play in Fulham's two matches so far in this year's competition... but they are still in it... at home to Derby next Tuesday... so they may not give us permission to play him. Unless of course he really doesn't figure in any of their future plans and they are looking to sell him, in which case they may be happy for him to be in the shop-window on Sky TV on Tuesday. Or they may still have an open mind on the young Scot, and see Tuesday as an opportunity to see how he fares against Chelsea, to gauge his quality now he has a few first-team matches with us under his belt, to help them decide his future. So possibilities, but my own expectations would be yes to Grant; no to Grimmer.
