You get a good view of the new development from the opposite side of the river, either on the tow path or in the car park behind Tanners
There seems to be a communal garden in the centre of the development roughly where the centre circle would have been. There are houses flats along side the wakeman school so you could in theory buy a house and have a sitting room over the spot you stood on on The Wakeman end

The floods winter '13 we were stood on English Bridge watching the water by those flats at Wakeman end when the water was way up the wall and my wife said to bloke next to us that she's glad we didn't have a flat there. He replied "I just bought one and I'm glad it's on the second floor as there's water in the garden."

Up to £470k for the larger properties !...and a reference to the one for sale being "mid terrace"... halfway along The Riverside then ?happy memories !
