Just to really put a cherry on my week. this week I had hoped to go storm chasing but I couldnt really afford it this year and the possibility of the play off final date made my decision a little easier to convince myself not to go
I would have been over there from Sunday and more than likely would have been witness to one of those 7 tornadoes that touched down - which would be my ultimate experience

saw a tornado / waterspout off the east coast of Florida - truly incredible,
then one of the girls in our party got hit by lightning on the beach - Ok, but well shaken up and glowed a bit!

I've always wanted to be a storm chaser, it looks brilliant. I got caught up in a tornado in 1987 in Pwllheli of all places and I have been very interested ever since!

lol
apparantly she did the classic stumbling through the patio doors in true Hollywood fashion (we were out for a walk / in a bar at the time), very weird weather, shook her up for a while (very wide eyes sort of thing)

I do that kind of thing here ( obviously on a much small er scale ), love following storms in my car. Great fun. Often park up hyaughmond hill during a storm and have bolts of lightning come down within 50 meters of my car ( is there a cr*p myself smiley ;D ). If your interested in this kind of stuff, this is a pretty reliable storm detector and tells you were abouts the storms are. www.freedata.meteorologica.co.uk/lightning/lightning.jpgBe carefull though and dont get out of your car if you are in a storm.

Saw a water spout out over Lake Erie once - freakily exciting. Kids do tornado drill at school; if, during a powerful storm when tornado warnings are blaring on the sirens, our dogs really freak out, we're ready to get to the basement QUICK. To me, chasing a tornado is the same thrill as chasing a loon with an AK47!

Love storms, get really wired when the atmosphere builds up around you in anticipation of lightning, then the sudden pelting of a ferocious downpour. Find it mysteriously soothing.

downloading the weather and flying through it on flight simulator is exciting enough for me.

A powerful storm is fun - nothing better than sitting on the porch with a brew watching the lightning and rain belting down. I've had to pull over to the side of a freeway and stop because the rain was so heavy I couldn't see the front of the car.
A tornado is deadly.
