If we where 7 places from bottom and it was January I think Lord would have a fair point to make.
But as it's September, we are 7th from top and in the throws of a fantastic cup run I think he sounds like a deranged t*** vying to out-Fran Fran but making little of the sense that Fran did last season!

Woe woe and thrice woe.........
Looks like I might need to give the wailing wall a lick of paint in preparation .......

2 of our selective 4 strikers should be our game changers, up to this point the impact has only been seen in no more than 3 of our games. That guy over at Walsall who provokes so much opinion would have got us goals from the splintered backside position for sure, fair play to him for backing his own ability and already bagging 5 goals in lg 1. On paper we seem to have enough in the wide positions but it hasn't quite happened yet consistently , you have to love the squad MM has put together but if we could bring in 1 more in with pace & directness don't think that would hurt & could help unlock teams who are content to sit back & soak up the pressure.

I don't agree with Lord's comments at all but in terms of league position we are in fact only 3 points clear of being 7th from bottom ! Oh my God, I'm starting to sound like Ed... next I'll be rambling on about points per game

2 goals in 7 games is alarming. So much for a bright new dawn with lots of exciting football. Cup run masking a poor run.

After witnessing one of the worst seasons ever as a town fan foremost. I find a lot of these comments baffling. All these new players, top 7, the best cup run we've had for over 10 years. If we don't go up this season then of course it would be disappointing but not the end of the world, it's rebuilding a club that footballing wise was broken and may take longer than a season to fix, we must be patient

Like I said , we will review this again dec/jan and then we will see who is the deranged t***. To the guy who suggested 'next thing i'll want GT back'. Answer would be yes and tomorrow would do.

Add in Salop probably sticking with their last three managers for 6 months too long you can see why people might get edgy if say come March we are outside the play-offs and struggling for form Sadly patience isn't something you get much now in football, and in part of Mellon's ability to cope with the expectation will guide how successful he is with us.
