What sort of reception will he get? A very warm one I hope?
He always battled, gave everything and improved no end during his time with Salop! I thought he was treated quite shabbily by the old manager.

Good reception from me, I rated him as a good centre back that you would want when in a relegation scrap.
He'll get a clap from me before the game and that's it, certainly no abuse as no one could doubt his commitment.

Warm welcome back and ovation from me.
As said already, gave his all and improved plenty with us. Getting rid of him and Goldson and playing Mwankadire and Winnie was Turner's most baffling decision for me

The chant of "Jones, Jones is looser than me. Again" to the tune of Joy Division during poppers-gate in Bournemouth 2012 will live long in the memory.
He'll get a jolly loud clap from me and a memorial sniff too no doubt.

Was an odd one for us. Looked a right cart horse who made mistakes every game at first, but stopped in the side
Then got a lot fitter, form improved no end and he got dropped and contract cancelled, despite far worse players being picked ahead of him
Hopefully the former will play against us on Saturday and gift is a few goals

Overall Jones did well for us. Put a lot of effort into his game, and played as if he cared. Another master- stroke by G.T letting him go, but then again he also let Sharps and Candsell-Sheriff go, and where are they playing now? Jones may have been agricultural in the way he played, but the Chuckle Bros were ****in' Neanderthal.
Jonah gets a good reception from me.

I thought he always gave 100% for the Town. Far more than most of his team mates last season. Good luck to him (except Saturday)

Did ok for us, particularly after the first 4 months or so. But there'll be other players we'll face this season who did far more for us

Is there a reason he wouldn't get anything other than a good reception?

Is there a reason he wouldn't get anything other than a good reception? There certainly shouldn't be. Always gave 100%, was definitely the best of the three! liked being here! and was treated appallingly in the end. A warm welcome from me for sure.

It was obvious for about two years that Darren jones was the best of a really bad bunch of centre halves. At the level we were at, maybe he was good enough, however turner went from genius to delusional very quickly. He will get a round of applause from me before it starts and then during the match he will just be another player.

The lad has done his time so that's a the end of the matter to me.... good honest lower league pro, the way he left did leave a sour taste in the mouth with me GT wise.... will get applause from me,how Tam n Winfiled were picked ahead of him god knows... A decent Salop centre half not brilliant but not bad either....

A donkey who was subsequently made to look like Maldini when we were left with the alternative of Winfield and Mkandiwire.
Should be given a polite reception. No more, no less.

Booing explayers is more likely to make them play better. A warm response is more likely to make him feel good about us and not be determined to show us.

Was MJ the problem? I have a vague recollection of him saying he was puzzled about the Jones decision at the time?

Jones wasn't league one standard, along with about eight of our first team.
Nothing to cheer or boo. Just let him get on with it. We have.
