Michael Hector seems to be a regular in the Reading side that's pushing for promotion back to the Premiership. Strange how some player's careers turn one way or the other so quickly. He always looked talented for us but made quite a few mistakes... playing one game for our reserves I can honestly say I saw him produce one of the worst performances ever from an STFC player.

Why do so many players underperform for us before going on to greater things? Is it because STFC are a quiet sleepy club in a quiet sleepy town?
That's the joy of MM and MW - they expect and need promotion/sucess.

He has been highly rated at Reading for sometime now. When he was with us he looked good for 90% of the game but then would be liable to a mistake, on occasions he was too relaxed/cocky but I felt he was learning and after a few games he was soon learning to 'hoof it' when necessary.
Wasnt the rumour of his demise all to do with a bust up with our current assistant?

Not just a verbal one at that.

Looked a superb ball playing defender to start off with but then looked a bit shaky.
Inexperience and the way he played always meant a mistake was in him.

what position is he playing?
at the end of last season he was playing as a defensive midfielder rather than a central defender, which might suit him better

He was a complete donkey for us . Rumoured to have punched Jackson aswell. There was no future for him here.

It probably happens to most lower league clubs but we are the only one you have an intimate knowledge of which means you know all the failures. Most people will only generally notice the success stories at other clubs, if that.

Romaine Sawyers was another who didn't do well here as wasn't played in best position and seems to now be enjoying life with Walsall

I wouldn't say that was a bad thing thumping Jackson, Apparently a few would like to.

He did look a class player. Was a bit shaky at times, but that's always going to happen with such a young player. Glad to see another player using Salop to help their career progress!

Whatever he has gone on to, his display against Leeds United remains one of the most inept defensive performances I have seen in my life. What really irked me was that he was in the team ahead of our very own Connor Goldson.
