I've applied to the Welsh FA for two tickets for Welsh Shrew and me. Haven't heard anything yet. Bearing in mind that the National Stadium has been almost a sell out for the last few Championship games (70,000) and the Racecourse is rather smaller(!), it will be interesting to see if any tickets are available on general sale after the fan's data base has been catered for. Most of the fan base of course comes from South Wales, and I can't see many making the journey north for a friendly, but there is always a considerable number of supporters from the north who travel to Cardiff for all the internationals

Where's the attraction in going to watch two third world footballing countries slug out a boring 0-0 in front of sackclothed locals, unless they're from Welshpool when the attire will be enhanceed by the ubiquitous battered felt cap and some straw for the mouth .

You'll like this Gareth, an Alf Garnett script classic... "The English have a Parliament, yet yer Welsh have an assembly. That is because they are used to saying their prayers and then being taught a lesson"
