As rumors go this one has some legs...
From what I have been told, paperwork was done, some international clearance issue to be sorted. Medical undertaken this week. We are not his only option however.
nothing more than a rumor for the moment though, but coming from lots of people.

He was pretty good - and we never replaced his goals, even if it was short of 20. Did pretty well at Swindon (despite the Curtis Main-like sitter he missed against us), although apparently not so well in Scotland.
I think he'd be a great signing for next season.

He's a striker, he scores goals 15 plus in our promotion season put another striker who could get 15 plus next to him with Bradshaw and jonny Taylor chipping In with a few could be a great season, very excited now and with the news today that season tickets have been frozen and the two donkeys have gone combined with positive signings I will now be renewing my season ticket for the 6th season running, all set for a tilt at the title but automatic has to be the target.

No reason why a returning player should fail to perform - no different to a new signing, really.

Do our players have their medicals at our acute hospitals? Possible I guess but would be stunned if true to be honest.
Would be a great signing, though if his blossoming reputation on here since he left is anything to go by, he won't be available until he's finished with the England squad in Brazil.
edit: and of coarse, when I say "finished with the England squad" I mean in his capacity as squad masseur, because he's quite obviously Irish!!!

No reason why a returning player should fail to perform - no different to a new signing, really. look above - expectation Plenty of other signings get overhyped - Mkandawire, Parry a couple of examples. If the pressure of fans expecting you to do well causes you to fail in the game, then you won't get far as a player. Rodgers had just got past it when came back, although he was still a nuisance for defenders, and Eaves on his own isn't exactly a statistically valid comparison. Paul Scholes did alright when he went back to United, Pique and Fabregas both did pretty well when they returned to Barcelona. Collins is good enough to be an asset at League Two level - the same as we would say if we signed someone like Reuben Reid, for example, although I do agree there is a danger that people might expect more from him - a case of absence makes the heart grow stronger (or something like that) is perhaps a danger.

Not many players who come to Town for the 2nd time are anything like as good as the 1st stint.
Wayne Clarke, Ron Green, I'm struggling for too many more. Hell of a lot more come back with their reputation from the 1st time but struggle for some reason.

Would be glad to see him back.
Will wait and see though, not convinced he will come back.

Mickey Brown wasn't bad when he returned 2nd or 3rd time. Better than the 1st version of him anyway.
I'd be happy to see Collins back, if only as he is a good striker who is proven at this level.

Unfortunately Mr Collins had tasted too many fried Mars Bars whilst in Edinburgh, and let himself go a tad...........

By Shrewsbury hospital do we mean rsh?
I'd be very surprised our medicals wouldn't be somewhere private like the Nuffield.

Would be a good signing if he came back. Will probably get 15+ for us next season. I hope the club don't rest on their laurels, another decent striker is also needed. If we can get two strikers scoring 15+ a season and Taylor scoring 10+, it would set us up nicely.

Be delighted to have him back. Quality when he was with us. Would of thought we would have to pay for him! I've watched a few Hibs games on sky and he has looked a shadow of himself, being played in a different set up doesn't help when he is the person you need in the box. Get him back now!
