Is absolute garbage. Tonight, if youre not familiar with stfc you can go on shrews web for info about tickets, even where to eat before the game! When it comes to shrewsbury games, theres barely anything! We must have the poorest website in the football league. Its garbage. We get info on away game tickets about 4 days before the fixture. Even though they have had the tickets 2 weeks earlier! And as for @shrewsweb twitter they cant even spell the postcode of GM correctly!! Sort it out town!

I know where to eat and drink before games. I also know where it is without using a postcode. If it's away fans you're concerned about they can use the popular www.footballgroundguide.com for all the relevant information.

The game preview is still there. It is in the zone on the front page that you can scroll across. It gives the two team names and if you click on it there is a natch preview link. It ain't obvious and as you say it was a lot more noticeable with the old website.

The biggest (ongoing) complaint I have about the website is the stats, rarely updated, players on there from seasons ago, and no traceability of the records of the last 6 odd years (beyond that nothing at all)
Soccerbase is a better place to see who played how many times etc...
To be fair though Whitters (when we last spoke) accepts that he would like to be better, but is something some money would need to be spent on.

How about removing that friggin black background so you can read it easily for a start. Takes 5 minutes to re-adjust your eyes after reading a long article. It can't be that difficult to do can it?

I just checked today, our website now has stats only for just this season, you cant scroll back other years. Thats one way to clear the mess up, but sadly leaves the website devoid of any stats from years gone by

If I was te new chief exec, one of the first things I would do was to ask Whitters what is required to improve the web presence.
An example of the problems is that for the first match with the bring someone for a fiver offer there was no mention of the offer on the web site, for the next match it was advertised, but you could go through the full booking process before realising that you had to ring up and book on the phone to get the offer.

No, Whitters in. Think he's done his best and knows exactly what is needed. Whitters to be quizzed by the Chief Exec and made the man to be in charge of updating the web site.

Maybe scope for an intern to come in for a few months and help Whitters?

To be fair you'd probably need to hire someone from Bletchley Park to keep up with all the player bio updates, stats and signings we've made over the last twelve months.
That said, is anyone really surprised that something associated with the Town doesn't work to a decent enough standard?
Lest we forget the issues with the scoreboard and those dancing footballs celebrating Doncaster's goal against us last season.

I don't see any need for the personal attacks on bobby, he's not claiming he could do better and just pointed out how poor the official club web site is.
I agree that the text could be black on a white background and the standard template allows this, someone just needs to be bothered to change it. Most of the other problems are caused by having a standard template web site.
This B&A site is not without it's minor niggles, the mobile site is actually better than the full web site. The standard colour scheme is better on the mobile site and it's easier to get back to the main forum from the end of a thread.
Still no jump to last post button on here.

Lettuce cut the club a bit of slack here. It was when the board was first installed, and I believe we didn't have full control of it at the time. I understand the finger that jabbed the dancing footballs button didn't belong to a member of staff at STFC.
Any road up, it didn't do Donny a lot of good did it.

How many man hours does it take someone to update a section of a website? I could understand if the host company had a payment per change charge but surely the club gave control of data. It would not take long to check each page and gaining feedback from here would help.
