I was at a funeral in Shrewsbury yesterday.
I over heard this conversation. (2 ladies)
lady 1. Oh yes, he's got our tickets for the Shrewsbury match, Lady 2. we've got ours too... who are they playing?
it really annoyed me, knowing some people are struggling for them....

Are people struggling somerset? If we have sold 11,000 then there is still another 1000 or so left...still a fair few...

wouldn't even call them any type of supporters, TOAO. Thing is, they get all cocky about going, and they couldnt even get off their arses to go the Semi's. I know a few Glory supporters, i would estimate that they dont even know 2 Shrewsbury players We'll take their money though....

The glory supporters don't worry me. How many tickets would we have sold without them? Its extra money in the clubs coffers. Als if some of them decide to come regular next season.....surely its worth it

Doesnt all the monies made from the final get split between all the conference clubs with a small share going to each of the participating teams?

chill out boys, would you rather we went to stoke with just the 100die hards who go to every game or 12000 cheering the boys on? who knows,if town play well 1 or 2 of them might come again next season.

Any support is better than no support. The important thing is that we have a huge presence there as this will give the boys a lift and may even be worth a goal or two to them. There will be plenty of tickets available for all who really want to go. I am sure that if we exceed our 12000 allocation more will be made available. They will want to fill the ground after all.

I think it's great that so many are going to turn out and support the Town!! With the amount of tickets we have allocated I'm sure all the regulars are going to get a ticket sorted so I can't see the problem...

the money from the glory hunters is great. Not a problem with that at all.
I just find it a little odd that someone would shell out £20 and not even know who the teams that are playing are.
And if just one person who deserves a ticket cant get one, then it becomes annoying.

When we played Chelski in the Cup last season the woman sat in front of me turned and asked the bloke next to her "which colour are Shrewsbury playing in?"as the teams ran onto the field..............straight up couldnt believe it.

Perhaps the women are being taken to the match by their men, but don't normally follow football. Perhaps it was the only way they would let them go, as they want to see what all the fuss is about. Sounds a wee bit sexist, but quite plausible dontcha think?

Or....with all the hype, excitement and anticipation, the event has become more than a football event and is now bordering on being a social event - you know - the type of thing where having a ticket and attending is the be all and end all.
If everyone who is attending for their first, possibly second match, follow the example of the B&A Choir, there will be an almighty roar.
The more the merrier I say
