Same with me, They asked if I had a card ( I have one), but I could have just said yes. No proof was required such as number. Next season I will just be getting a season ticket

The club are quite lucky that much of the general public weren't aware of this or there could of been some more disappointed fans.

My dad went down yesterday morning and wasn't asked for my priority card at all. as you say Stue, if this had got out quickly I'm sure a lot of people would have gone down early.

Hopefully we can reduce the number of disappointed people is Aldershot don't sell all of theirs. I was told we'd be getting even more if that is the case
It would be a shame if not everyone experienced it, coz there'll be one hell of a party if (when) we win!

This isnt a critisism (Judy), infact, its made things for my lot more convenient, but, when I went with my ST to buy tickets, I was allowed to buy as many as I wanted and although my family are all priority card holders, they could just as easily been a bunch of mates from the pub who have never been to see stfc play before.
My understanding is from the past, that as a ST holder/priority card holder, you could only buy one ticket per ST/priority card. In effect, Hundreds of people have got their tickets, who may well have never been to a game previously, before the priority card holders where able to get theres which seems a bit unfairt on priority card holders.

I've got a season ticket, if i could only buy one ticket then where in the ground would my 2 girls sit as they are not ST/SB/PC holders but go to every home and away game. Or after travelling all over the country supporting the Town i tell them they can't go to one of S'burys biggest games in the clubs history because they would'nt be able to sit by me.

The problem is there are plenty of people who bought tickets using their season ticket for people who only have a passing interest in the team. Take the guy who bought 50 tickets for example. I very much doubt they are all season ticket / priority card holders! I think there should have been a limit on how many tickets people could initially buy, maybe 4 at a time. In this instance I don't think there will be a problem as it looks like we will have another 5,000 tickets this week which will be more than enough to go around.

Your absolutely right, and I wouldnt argue for a second, but at the same time, is it fair that, like I said hundreds of people, many of whom have less than a passing interest in Town and probably, have never been to see stfc play before this season, get their tickets allocated before people who have priority cards and have not missed a game all season. Potentially, although its not entirely realistic I accept, with all the block bookings going on the tickets "could" have sold out before priority card holders got a chance.

In that respect though, anyone that had a priorty card would likely know a season ticket holder and if it bothered them they could get their friends to buy tickets for them before Friday.

Not much of a priority card!!! so let me get this right, you haven't got a ticket? at the moment there are about 1500 tickets left, priority cards had until 12:00 noon yesterday for priority. car parks - stoke send us x amount of car park tickets, we sell them, we ask for more which stoke sell, we then sell them, we ask for more car park tickets which should arrive this week, why all these posts about people being disappointed and not being able to get a ticket. there are 1500 left. we may have a chance to get some more in the upper tier of the john smiths, but with 1500 left do you think we need them

don't worry about it Whitters, you shift 11,000 in 3 days and people just start to get edgy
the fact is loads of season ticket holders got their priority as did many priority card holders and even those who saw naughty people queue jumping ahead of them still got a ticket so I can't see the problem at all
I challenge anyone to volunteer to work in that ticket office for one day
they c=would never complain about anything again, apart from maybe the grief some people give club staff

I challenge anyone to volunteer to work in that ticket office for one day they c=would never complain about anything again, apart from maybe the grief some people give club staff TBH. you talk a lot of sence usually. I would challenge anyone to be a nurse for the day. The government would love me cos know one would ever moan about the NHS again. Ian. Im not having a go at the club or its employers and im not suggesting that people cant get a ticket, infact, im not moaning about anything, you lot do a great job. What I am saying is that in a lot of cases, Mr one game in a thousand, has got his ticket before a priority card holder, by virtue of the fact that hes got a mate of a mate who drinks with a ST holder on a tuesday night at darts. Also, in theory, if more ST holders had block booked loads of tickets for their mates, then priority card holders could have been left in the lurch. If im wrong, then fine im wrong, I aint gonna cry over it. But am I wrong.

at least the final is all ticket. A far more civilised way of dealing with a big game.
Plans - well laid or otherwise - were thrown out of kilter by the police decision on Sunday sales.
Talking to someone from the office, more care was taken when a large number of tickets were being asked for.
I think I volunteered my prioirty card number over the phone rather than being asked for it.
At the end of the day from a financial point of view a sold ticket is a sold ticket. I don't think that is enough from a regular fan's point of view, but ...

I'll accept that challenge - Ian - the next big game we have, I will book a day off work and help with the ticket sales. sean your fine, i'd rather have some of the others get off their bums and offer. pab: still can't see the problem, people have been allowed to have a number of tickets. i have helped sort out a few people on here for tickets and never checked their season or prioroty tickets. there are tickets left, we haven't sold out, if someone comes up on thursday and can't get a ticket who's problem is it? the best image of this i have is from the simpsons: springfield v shellbyville, homer camps out to get tickets, wakes up with one person in front of him in the queue, ticket off opens first person 'can i have 20,000 tickets', seller 'no problem sir'. buyer 'can i owe you', seller 'yeah i can't see why not'............. now that would have been funny first thing on wednesday

I know I posted something to this thread, my issue was I paid £5 for a priority ticket and I believe you do not need one as you could have said you had one and fibbed
a) TO get in early for the Barnet game b) to get a ticket on Friday for the Aldershot final.
THe club isdoing a fine job selling 11,000 tickets over 3 days, but all I am saying what happens if it had been a sell out Friday afternoon, and as a priority ticket holder who had phoned every 15 mins from 9 - I would have not been pleased.
Cheers

I send a dozen packages every day and it is the norm for them to take 3 to 7 days 1st class at the moment. I wouldn't trust them with something as impotrant as play off tickets.

So Porky, what is a priority card for then? It certainly doesn't do what it says on the ticket!!
I don't disgaree that they are all working very hard down at the meadow. I thank them for that, but they still need to honour what priority card holders paid for - priority.
I dont object to season ticket holders, super blues or priority card holders having more tickets, but 20's and 50s, as well publicised, you're having a laugh!!
And they didnt want to see our cards on Friday either, so not much point to the priority cards.
To say one thing and do another is crap organisation on any scale of measure.

The criticism is completley unfounded and just an excuse to moan. On a smaller scale the priority cards are effective, but in this type of game then Priority cards are excellent for exiles, postal apllications etc but not so for Mr. "I paid £5 so I want to be first".
Get over it, there are still tickets for sale and in scenarios like this you have a give a little. This game is unique to STFC.
You don't have to buy a priority card next year, but more the fool for you if come on hear and moan that there are no tickets left.

Is any one still waiting to get a ticket thats been to more than 12-15 games this year - my best guess is no - so what the worry about I had a priority card and was well catered for - yes some people slipped through the net but this is 11,000 tickets being sold not 4,000 like normal - mistakes were made i beilve (like tickets went on sale possible a day early where as they should have waited for Judy to return from Stoke - then had a meeting about the procedure ect of how it was to be done and then commenced ticket sales - early the next day) but all in all i would say its gone quite well and nobodys going to be left dissapointed Now if the part timers can snap up another 2000 odd tickets we will be set for a Shropshire invasion

as most know I go to every single home game and most away.
This is in fact the first year I have had a priority card and would have cut my right arm off to have had one last year during the FA cup run, instead of waiting for 4 or 5 hours in the cold and rain.
Last year £5 for one would have been an absolute bargain. This year there has not been much need for them. But if something major does happen then it is always there. I guess its a peace of mind thing.
But this final is a one off. I have a priority card and I got my friend with a season ticket to get my one and along with 12 others of us. The unlimited purchases are a good idea as you can get family and friends sat together.
So what if a few first timers get in before some of us? I'm sure people would be more annoyed about sitting apart from their friends and family due to a 1 ticket per person allocation. The allocation was so large it really doesn't matter.
That guy that brought 50 was just a one off. Its not like everyone brought 50 each. and whats to say that it wasn't a group of 10 fathers wanting to take their families to the game and all banded together?
But in my view, everyone who wants a ticket has got one so where is the problem
