I am really pleased to have been asked to do a bit at the start of the game with the PA man from Aldershot - I hope I can do it justice. A private company has been given the job of providing pre-match entertainment and they have invited the two PA men to do a slot. I need a bit of help - suggestions on special dedications, people who have sacrificed a lot to get to the game and any other ideas on how to hype things up will be very welcome. Choice of music incidentally is Catch us if you can, Mighty Quinn and Tom Hark - I think generally this is acceptable to most people. Not certain about the format for the day but I will do my best. If you don't want to relpy via the B&A send a note to me via the club office or e-mail me at rjervis@onetel.com

Perhaps you could get a little rivalry going between blocks 31 and 29 like there has been on this messageboard. I'm sure block 31 will sing louder than 29

Yeah, that would be a good idea to go round announcing the Town blocks and asking for some noise from them in turn to get people going.
Naturally Block 31 will be the loudest by far!
"Can you hear Block 29 sing? Nooh, Nooh! Can you hear Block 29 sing? Nooh, Nooh! Can you hear Block 29 sing? I can't hear a flipping thing!! Oooh oooh!!" ;D

people who have sacrificed a lot to get to the game apart from working nights next week (nowt special about that), I'll be leaving the sunny climes and mid 80degree heat to fly 4500 miles across the pond for this one. If you hear someone snoring on the 16th, give me a nudge please

Fantastic.............I think this would be a great time to thank the ASFC for all funds raised and to Chris Wynne, for Keeping ASFC mobile this season with less time on his hands(and didnt moan too much either) and also perhaps a round of applause to all other fundraisers in and around STFC, I mean with all those people there just think what a buzz that would be to all concerned, and even those that arent

Thanks for the mention Pete (you after a pint? ). There are many people who do a wonderful job for STFC both on the inside and the outside. Loads of individuals and organisations raise plenty for the club they love. Ours is but a small contribution, tho' I always say considering the small size concerned it is a wonderful effort to be raising well over 4 figures every season. Personally, I do it because I love all things blue and amber, and I try to make sure all within the ranks of ASFC are looked after. My thanks will come when we are back in the football league next Sunday evening.
