Its getting like a pantomine- you wish a bit of misfortune on your local rivals but I do feel sorry for the fans

I'm not sure I fully understand why they've done this. Presumably they have been offered diddly-squat as payment for the 50% pay-cut they took and to pay off the remains of their contract. If they take it they'd be a free-agent to go and get a contract somewhere else, but obviously in current climate there's no guarantee of that. So, they have rejected that offers and the club are therefore still liable for the outstanding amounts of their contracts. But the club is skint, so no chance they can pay what they owe, so the club will go bust and the players will get sod all. So their only chance is if the club find a buyer willing to honour existing contracts presumably - and I doubt any prospective new owners would be able or willing to honour the contracts of some of the higher earners (of which there are quite a lot apparently). So why reject the offers to terminate Accepting them seems to give SOME chance of an income in the near future, rejecting them seems to give very little chance. And further jeopardises the club they are supposed to be trying to help. Or am I missing the point

i imagine those players will retain their contracts until they get a definite offer from someone else, which may or may not come.
In the meantime their Telford contract is all they have, and i can understand them not wanting to sign away all their rights.

Perhaps theyre hoping someone will buy them from the club, thus getting the club a transfer fee in, which would go towards settling their wages.
Or perhaps, it's because no-one has offered them a job elsewhere yet, so by taking "voluntary redundancy", they wouldn't be entitle to something?

fair enough scooter, but what rights? The rights to sue the club for unpaid wages or breach of contract? Not going to help either party much I suspect.
