With all the talk on here about "I'm in block 31" and "I'm in block 29" I was under the impression it was a case of going down the Meadow and simply getting a ticket for which section of the Britannia you want!!
But reading Chris Jarrett's comments in the Shropshire Star it appears it's not the case, so how have people managed to get tickets for The Sentinel Stand already? (I appreciate the "Blue and Amber Block 31" is a different story.)
Here is the section from the Star's story:
"...But several of the season ticket holders were disappointed they could not get seats in their first choice area of the 28,000 seater stadium.
Chris Jarrett, Shrewsbury Town resources manager, said strict rules meant the club had to sell tickets in blocks and this meant the Boothen End of the stadium would have to be filled first.
Mr Jarrett said as well as match tickets, people were buying lots of bus tickets and car parking tickets which were also on sale at the Meadow."

As a rule I think the club would of had to fill behind the goal first then move around. I got the impression this morning that the club wanted to sell tickets for The Boothen end first.

the conference rules states we had to sell from bootham first.
by the time judy had got to the meeting this morning this had changed and we started selling sentinel as well.
chris did the interview at 9 this morning when the star came down.
simple explanation.

Stop panicking you'll be ok. Patience come on! 12000 tickets to go around. Stop giving them grief. They are doing there best!

I am now totally bamboozled.
First, at 12, we hear block 31 was sold out, only to find out half was still upstairs.
Then, When I go down at 2, I am told it's sold out, to my face.
Then, I look here, and see a post from 2.42 saying there were 400 left!?!?
And now I'm perplexed as to whether I can go with Smith as there's no mention of being able to just pay travel, but I didn't want to end up stuck 1/2 a K away from you lot.
I'm not angry, and not going to blame anyone. These things happen.
But, may I suggest something. Give ALL staff at the front-end a "briefing sheet", with all the details that people will likely query. This way, there is uniform treatment, anyone who doesn't believe them can be shown the proof, and, also, staff can refer to it when people believe they have made a boo-boo.

Thinks youve got some points there grinfish. I think the trouble is that people today have totally panicked about tickets when there really is no need. A great idea about having everyone together has been spoiled by some silly posts today.
There has obviously been a demand today, and the club have been trying to look out for it's regulars, but it seems that maybe in some instances, communication has been missed. But give um a chance, there not doing it delibrately to annoy us, however annoying this may seem, they are trying to help us, and I would suggest we arent the only ones with block bookings that they've got to sort out. What we've got to do is be patient.
I know sometimes its annoying, but this is the first time in ages that the club have had to sell such a huge amount of tickets, nearly one and a half times more than Everton, and they have to try and please all of us lot, which you know isnt easy.
I'm sure tomorrow the club will improve on what they have learnt today, and things will be smoother I hope.
Lets all enjoy the occasion, and try and all be together on this.
I havent got my tickets yet, will get Dad to go down tomorrow

Are there gonna be plenty of tickets in the Sentinel Stand come Friday when we with Priority Cards get to buy our tickets? blocks are sold from 29 and 21, then the next block once that is sold, so once 21 is gone 22 is on sale, once 29 is gone 28 goes on sale.... so yes you will be ok, but watch out for the 12:00noon rush on the saturday for general sale

Myself and my son were amongst the first season ticket holders at the meadow yesterday. We were very disappointed at not being able to purchase seats in the Sentinal Stand and had to settle for being behind the goal on the Bootham end. We were told by Mr Jarrett that the club had no control whatsoever over the situation. No doubt the 'plumb' seats will now be filled by all the part time glory hunters. WELL DONE TOWN FOR F**ING UP ONCE AGAIN!!!!*
